Takara and Hasbro didn't merge and their versions are entirely different, for beyblade at least. Hasbro removed Metal, neutered parts, made their releases incompatible with Takara, won't release proper stadiums and overall make much lower quality products than Takara. Zoids is a similar situation as Beyblade with regards to target market and stuff. They're both Takara series aimed at young boys which are then adapted by Hasbro for the western market, don't be surprised if they use lower quality materials or implement other cost cutting measures in order to save on production costs.
