Not that I recall? I think it just depends on when you were looking for him exactly. If he was initially shortpacked he got rereleased plenty of times. Distinctly remember seeing him a lot in the early 90s all the way to the tail end of the original TMNT line.

We either never found it or it was too expensive. I remember seeing it at TRU years later, long after my Power Rangers phase, and seriously considered buying it for the hell of it. I don’t remember what I bought instead. Snagged the Legacy version a few years ago and will probably buy the new LC version.

I only ever saw this in a Sears once as a kid two counties away from where I lived when I went with my dad on a work trip, if I didn't see it that one time I would have never known it existed, and any time I tried to tell my friends about it they thought I was being one of those kids that makes shit up just to get a reaction. My dad wouldn't let me get it because I had already got a 10" Toy Biz Mister Sinister figure earlier in the day and had already taken it out of the package in the car, if I hadn't my dad would have bought it and let me return the figure. I had all of the dress up sets for the regular turtles and was really stoked to have a Slash version since he was my favorite figure. Didn't even know it was supposed to be Tokka till I looked it up years later.

For me it was 6" Trendmasters Mechagodzilla, Energon Optimus Prime, and Transmetals Megatron. Bought the Takara Megatron a few years back, Optimus last year, and MechaG a month ago. Feels good.

I also wanted the Time Shadow Megazord but I can live without that. Don't watch Power Rangers anymore.

These three stick out as the things I wanted but never ended up getting.

I stopped collecting star wars toys years ago so I never ended up getting a falcon, however I bought the Chogokin Dragonzord a year or so ago. Maybe I'll pick up the Megazord one day too.

My dad was the manager at a Toys R Us when those were released but we couldn't afford it or my parents didn't want to buy it for me at the time. I was allowed to play with the toys in boxes if I put them back after so I did that until Christmas when I got it. Still have it actually.

I have an eye disease and ended up getting a lot of surgeries and stressful doctors visits when I was young. Had to go to a specialist in a different state and everything, but every time we went my parents would take me to one of the big toy stores in that particular city to get me something. I ended up with a lot of good stuff from those visits, Power Rangers stuff, Gargoyles figures, and eventually Star Wars toys.

I used to have multiple dress up sets and wear different parts of each to pretend my mutant power was that I had all mutant powers. Then the gas station down the street started getting the Marvel Fleer cards in and I went on a buying frenzy with those and found out Mimic existed and I would pretend to be him. I was probably his only fan, it fucked me up pretty good when they killed him off.

I always wanted a megazord, and so me as a kid, this was the best one. Not only was it in a movie, which made it pretty cool, but all 6 combined into a balanced design. The wings, they're all animals, it just was the sexiest thing a kid could want. Never got one tho.

That particular one was a non transforming limited articulated figure and the main gimmick was the falcon attaching. I had it before my folks finally got me the actual combining Ninja Megazord. I never got the falcon for it though. I now own the SOC Megazord/Dragonzord and the Legacy Thunder Megazord and White Tiger.

I had a bad dentist experience around the same age where I had to be forcefully held down by the assistant and my parents and all I got was pic related.
But I'm not complaining, I was genuinely spoiled as fuck with toys when I was a kid. There was very little I didn't have that I wanted. The only figure that comes to mind is the original Foot Soldier, but I pretty much had all the TMNT and Power Rangers stuff.

I am leaning towards yes, just because I finally saw one in person and the size of it was staggering.

Begged for it at Toys R Us and my mom balked at the price. It was always one of my favorite designs and the assortment of helmets was my favorite thing when I played with it at a friend's house.

I eventually got Super Zeo and Rescue Turbo Megazord from relatives for Christmases and while those were far superior toys but always had a hole in my heart for original Zeo. Sucks we'll never get a legacy version as nice as the thunder megazord.

Got the Black and Gold edition for my 10th birthday. I played with that thing forever. Unfortunately by the time I wanted the Dragonzord it was no longer sold.

I waited and dreamed of owning him one day and went to many garage sales looking for him. Finally got one for $50 on ebay when I was 17. When the box arrived it was actually a case. Got two sealed dragonzords for $50.

Still sits on my shelf (behind glass) to this day

The MMPR Megazords seem like a common one for a lot of people here. Mine was the Dragonzord for the longest time. Had early memories of seeing it in the store but being unable to get it because my older brother took me and he didn't have the money to spare. Megazords were actually pretty expensive in the 90s, even more taking inflation in account. Finally found one at a comic shop--after I already got the Chogokin and the Legacy, still in box, where I've kept it since after all these years the nostalgia lies more in the box itself than the figure inside.

Such a great fucking toy. I remember being salty that the Green Ranger was just a repaint of the others and didn't have his dagger or the different costume details, but the articulation and the designs were so good I got over it in a hurry. To this day, MMPR Green is my favorite toku costume.

Blew my mind(but made sense) finding out that the 8'' rangers were originally Sentai toy molds(Turboman originally). Just like how the standard 5'' line recycled the classic chogokin sentai. These were hard to find and apparently pretty fragile. My best friend has one that was broken at the waist, and we couldn't find the legs. I got the NECA version last year to make up for never having one as a lil boi, it's way higher quality than these figs were.

also finding a gold c-3po was a pain in the ass at this time too. mine’s arm broke and i didn’t find another gold one in the wild til the one from episode 3 came out. like almost my entire childhood i was using the ugly phantom menace one and having it in my headcanon that he lost all his plating.

I used to want monster high figures since they were the first dolls ive personally seen with so many joints as a kid. I actually got one now they are pretty cheap I have a few anime figures with similar joints but the customization on the mh ones were real nice.

Amazingly, they used this exact same fucking mold for every "Batcave Command Center", including Returns, BTAS, and Forever. If I remember right there was also one for New Batman Adventures with a weird "camo" paintwash.

Mom got me one off the clearance rack with no ghost trap.

Could never find the ghost trap anywhere. Eventually left it outside one day and it got crushed by a horse.

Find out new movie means new proton packs. I'm gonna buy the new trap and pack for my kids. Even though it's mainly about me.

Yeah, except you have to pay for registration and insurance and they're locked to roads that only go where ((they)) want you to.

Think that's what Hasbro is banking on this time. Why so much of the stuff is heavy on the nostalgic designs. The Ghostbusters toys are CLASSIC examples of toys that almost every kid on the block had or wanted in the worst ways.

I had this as a kid. It was pretty fun. Cardboard was a downside, but after like 5 years I threw away the cardboard buildings, used some of the plastic parts for other city sets and kept the floor mat.
