Not sure if this is the right board, but I'm going to be moving soon, and was wondering if /toy/ could recommend any display shelves or cabinets for my figures.

Maybe something like pic related, but more vertically-oriented?

Not him, but do you guys recommend anything else? I had to get rid of one of my displays cabinets due to termites (the house is concrete and they don't seem to be anywhere else) and a second cabinet almost got termites in the same area, but I got rid of them before they could do any damage. It doesn't help that we've currently had several Earthquakes past 5 in the last year, so glass cabinets are out. I live in a fairly humid region.

I was recommended stainless steel with acrylic by a friend. Do you guys recommend that or is there something better?

IF you're worried about quakes then you might want to spend a ton on a trophy case type of display, anchor it in the wall and stick your shit in there.

I never liked the small shelf size. They're all just made of these weird little cubes that I really don't think does large toy collections any favors.

You can use the weather stripping for doors iirc. I don't use them, and they do have dust, but significantly less than what's not in the detolfs.

I can't recommend it because I don't have one yet, but I've been looking at Moducases. You buy them piece by piece and arrange/connect however you want them. They're aluminum with Acrylic instead of glass, and are supposedly airtight. The price is pretty high, but isn't unreasonable. People spend tens of thousands of dollars on their collections and then throw it in a $60 shelf. That's fine, but I have no problem spending a bit more to make my collection look that much better.
