Thoughts on COBI building sets? I really want to buy their military stuff, how is the quality? Good? Similar to Lego? Better than Mega?

Very good. Have never had an issue with brick clutch, never had an issue with bricks cracking or snapping, etc. Better than Mega, on par with Lego. Do it, you won't regret it.

Thinking about getting a Jagdpanzer E-100 and another Maus to convert the two into a standard E-100.

Cobi is from PL and let me tell You my expirience from front seat. Cobi always was a shit tier lego - everyone in PL wanted lego back in 90's and got cobi if they were poor. Quality was shit, miniatures were shit. But now? I bought their larger remote tank a year ago. The remote sometimes acts funny (switching lights during turning ect) but beside it I think they came a long way. Quality of blocks is on par with lego, instructions and box can be sometimes better. I dont know how they did it, but they did a marvelous job becoming best block military stuff company.

I got the P-40 at the National WW2 Museum last year to bring back for a friend, got trapped partway home for 3 days and bored out of my mind so I built it. He didn't care it wasn't sealed. Anyway, I thought it was pretty good quality, at least as good as Lego. I'd buy more if I collected lego-type stuff, Cobi has a lot of neat shit.

Not only are the collectible minifigs made specifically in a chinese factory with bad plastic but Lego turned to the biodegradable plastic for good boy points!
Enjoy your garbage plastic that turns to dust in half a year.

Cobi is good, their brown parts don't explode upon touch and clutching power is great, just as it is easy to separate pieces.
