Well from what we know Wave 3 likely already contains Baroness and the Alley Viper, since they're supposedly not in Wave 2. Wave 2 has Gung-Ho, Red Ninja, and Cobra Commander. There's also a possible Pimp Daddy Destro on the way. There's also Snake Eyes movie figures, which may be hogging slots in Wave 2 and 3.

I hadn’t heard that, I just assumed based on the promotional art that Wave 2 included Alley Viper and Baroness (along with Night Creeper, Cobra Commander and Gung Ho).

I like your suggested wave but, for the similar reasons to Flint without Jaye I’d want to see Zarana with Zandar ...and only after Zartan was already released.

Yeah after buying one of the recent transformers reissues I'm not onboard with reissued joes at all. The difference in plastic quality between the new one and the old 80's one I still had was ridiculous.

Eh, I found the plastic used on the Repaints of the o-rings from the 2000s to be better and less likely to have thumb snaps and crotch explosions (there is the odd exception like that Viper 6-pack with the tight o-rings that need to replaced asap). Little no cracks in the plastic with the elbow rivets too.

There's a movie Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes, Scarlett, and possibly Baroness on the way. Movie Storm Shadow will likely be our first version of the character, it may be the same for Baroness, since there's a listing in the movie figures for a character under the code name "Lady Bug". The assumption being the "Lady" part means it's Baroness because she's in the Snake Eyes movie.

I intend to troop build, but army building 6-inch is different, since the beauty of 3 3/4 figures was that you could have lots of them. I generally would army build around 10 to 12 for certain figures. I have 15 of the 50th Cobra Viper and a dozen Pursuit of Cobra, Cobra Troopers. And then I have like 18 of the 25th Crimson Guards from the 5 pack they made. And then for some army builders I have only around 6 of them. And of course there's also a number that I either never army built or never got around to, because they were less important. With 6 inch I can't imagine getting more than a handful-- maybe 6 to 10 at the most depending on the character. You can hardly army build in the hundreds with them, but I feel that's more than enough to look impressive on display.

I do not want the return of the o-rings, especially if they're just rere-re-re-er-re-er-re-re-re-r-er-re-releases.

The UPDATED re-re-re-releases that came in the comic packs from the 00s were the best and I'm happy with them. I don't need more.
Seriously, they've done so many re-releases that i don't want anything from the o-ring era anymore.

I wouldn't even want re-releases of the RE-UPDATED releases that came in the comic packs for the 25th GI Joe line.

I would take RE-RE-UPDATED releases though. Include some thigh swivels and new molds and I'll start spending a hundred dollars or more a month on GI Joe products again.

Army building in 6" is a bitch. I can barely put 2 of the same figures into a shelf without it already feeling overcrowded.
I've experimented with McFarlane's Call of Duty figures, swapped out heads, and put them up against my Mezco Punisher figure and it's seriously not the same as doing the same shit with GI Joes and the MU Punisher.
They take up way too much space.
A 1 foot square space is a largish room for 1:18 mobsters enjoying their drugs and money, but for 1:12, it's like raiding a closet for meth heads.

I always liked Falcon, he seems to go well with every team. I distinctly recall having a metal TV tray with Falcon, Chuckles and Recondo on it. I was so young that I didn’t even know there was a cartoon at the time, so the toys and that tray were all I knew. When I finally discovered the cartoon I was shocked that those 3 were marginal characters at best. I was particularly annoyed that some jerk named Duke was leader and not based Falcon!

I also read a few issues of the comic and for some reason (racism?) I thought Tunnel Rat was Vietnam-era Storm Shadow. Muskrat was naturally Vietnam-era Snake Eyes ...and Stalker was Stalker.

Whenever a new toyline shows up those are the figures I always count among my wishlists. That and Dreadnoks, gotta have Dreadnoks

Well, Big Lob was a character from the 87 movie and the only one who didn't have a figure in the original line. If I remember correctly, these con exclusives weren't made in regular Hasbro factories but in some independently owned one because thr Joe Club or whatever bought or rented tooling to make all their exclusives. Combine these two factors and he's basically a very legit bootleg.

I had a bunch of the new sculpt era when it was coming out. It was an exciting time to see Joes returning to shelves. I really liked seeing the new interpretations of the characters at the time. Sigma 6 really killed the momentum the line had, by switching to a new scale and then botching it. I didn't like how they were more cartoony, nor that they weren't compatible with anything that had come before, and their designs were bizarre and I really disliked the anime tie-in, because of how different it was from traditional ARAH. And that ultimately killed my interest in Joes for awhile. I didn't get back into collecting them until Retaliation figures came out.

The heads on the original Cobra Troopers are way huge, like they have a watermelon for a head, same for some female characters like Covergirl. They eventually fixed Scarlett and Lady Jaye in the comic packs, giving them better proportioned new sculpts.

I kinda dislike how classic the villains all look. It makes the changes they made on the Joe's stand out more. But I also really dislike CC's helmet. That plate on the front is too overdesigned but also simplistoc and would benefit from being smooth like the face plate or more ornate.

Got Roadblock, Duke, and Scarlett in the mail today. Megalopolis was already sold out of Destro when I ordered. I really dig them, but have some qc issues. Scarlett's drop down hips are very loose relative to her body but not eachother so her legs wiggle side to side and Roadblock's right hip is just ridiculously loose and he can't really hold his own weight.
Duke, the aryan white guy, is ultimately the best quality lol.

No, the laser weapons if more for adults. Some European countries are very anti-gun and wont even allow action figures to have them(YES, EUROPE IS GAY). Also guns aren't trendy with soccer moms who buy toys for their kids.

I guess this is as good of a place to ask. Does anyone know how the Fwoosh articulated icons generic ninjas are doing? I saw the 2nd wave kinda flopped, but that's because they're reruning the ninjas in retarded colors like lime green and turd brown.

I would like to buy a handful of red and black ninjas to fight my Snake Eyes. The arm set was also pretty nice because it has swivel-hinge-swivel ball joint and a lot of posing options.

The Fwoosh ninjas are done, the only thing they're selling are the stock they have left. If you really want some Red ninja, but the red samurai dude and just strip off his armor. He's basically a red ninja underneath it all, and then you get tons of cool armor and weapons as well. There's also a grey option if you want a simple basic ninja, but he costs the same as the samurai so it's not even a better deal.

I feel they're actually a bit too small, especially the MK 46. The mag for that gun is especially delicate as it's just held on by a very tiny peg.

The other guns aren't completely awful though, but they just feel slightly smaller then they should be. But I may be used to my Joes just rocking oversized guns to begin with.
