>>8164445>Americans kind of tend to overstate its importance. I take it you're not American then?
9/11 fucked shit up bad for us, mostly in the ways we need to travel now. Basically, travel was almost unfettered. Like with planes, you could just go on them like it was a bus or train.
After 9/11? Fucking European and commie bloc-tier necessities like needing a fucking state ID just to board a plane that's now behind a fucking check point where they actually search you and are only allowed to go past ONLY if you have a ticket.
And that's not even the worst part: reasons to increase fees and taxes. Shit like baggage checks and even to take baggage aboard the plane? whole lotta bullshit.
nevermind all that shit that allows our government to pry even harder into our private lives without recourse.
But 9/11 really did nothing about how toys are made.
It sorta kinda did affect cartoons and other kid shit, but nothing so much like the 24/7 newscycle that made people more paranoid and trigger-prone than ever. Can you believe that people actually developed PTSD-like symptoms from just watching the news? crazy.
In the 80s and early-90s, shit would have been seen as just a local event, instead of something nationwide.
