Victory is super good, haven't seen masterforce, but I remember headmasters is very slow and that's probably what people were talking about. Chronologically I think the order is as you mentioned. Just gotta power through headmasters and then urine for comfy times friend.

Headmasters gets boring at times, my least favorite of the 3, but the battles with tons of characters are fun, Masterforce has the smaller cast but that allows more character development, same for Victory.

btw don't skip Masterforce if you're planing on watching Victory, Victory is a direct sequel.

Also I think the legends universe made Sixshot into Greatshot so maybe for that reason too, kinda compare the two fellows

... there are several more on the way. Twin Twist, Kup, Weirdwolf, Mindwipe, and Legends Perceptor. Pinpointer and orange Lionizer. A bunch of 3p accessories.

Also I got drunk one night and ordered three FoC Shockwaves, only two of which have their guns. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them all.

I've been very fortunate to be working and making excellent money at two delivery jobs.

The three Shockwaves are, as I mentioned, because I was drunk. Well, also high, and I didn't take notice of the three payment and shipping notices until too late. I rarely drink anymore because I do dumb but mostly harmless stuff like this. Once at a Christmas party at my usual bar I tried to pay my tab five more times after actually paying. I was not aware of this until the next morning when I called to ask if I had paid my tab.

Metroshot was a G1 remold of Sixshot. I love weaponizers and I'm upset with Hasbro for having given us one (1) for the Decepticons when the Autobots have six (6) including Ironworks. I already have Fasttrack and Airwave preordered but then the 'Cons still don't have a flying weaponizer. Anyhow, Metroshot is the leader of Metrotitan's Metrosquad. Metrometrometrometro.

I appreciate your concern for me. Believe me, I take every precaution I can. My Mom, girlfriend, and dogs mean too much to me to let my guard down. I'm done ordering stuff for now, as well. I definitely went overboard between Trumpbuxxx and making so much in tips.

I got the new Decepticon micromaster pack. Growl is meh, but Bombshock is pretty cool. I'm still kind of enamored with Magna Convoy from last week, though. I love how his integrated weapons make the whole "gun-on-roof battle mode" look a lot more cohesive, and how you can half-transform it into a little pop-up turret. I said it before, but I really miss integrated/transforming weapons like this. They're not always great, but when they are, it makes the figure a home-run.

Got the battle squad a few weeks ago and I've the same feelings. Picked up the hot rod patrol after despite knowing it'd be disappoint. Magna convoy looks pretty swell. And yeah, integrated weapons are pretty comfy, it's the nice element between mecha and robot where it's like "hey this guy's built for battle, he's prepared! Woah, he can use his weapon in both modes!" Siege Prime's headlights look kinda like machine guns, so I take the bot, angle the smokestacks and backpack, unfold the arm windows halfway (and can unfold completely as mini-shields!) and unfold his headlights under his fists. You know, for when he lost his rifle and axe. Then for ok fuck it I'm just going to take and resize a photo point being he looks more menacing

Yeah, I pretty much wrote off any of the "entire front quarter-panels sticking up from the shoulder" micromaster molds after Swindler turned out to be so weaksauce. Roadhandler was solid though, and Stakeout was pretty much his 2.0 version, what with an actual neck joint and ball-joint knees.

The legs slot into the rectangular holes for the transformation. As for the circular ones, I have no idea. The Starscream honestly isn't bad for a sub-$10 drugstore toy, I got a lot of enjoyment out of it.

I am staring at mine and it does not have circular holes. It's not in the place or configuration I left it in either but I don't remember it ever having any holes. Maybe a reissue did, think I picked him up used at a con for $5 [spoiler:lit]in a graveyard[/spoiler:lit]
I've Optimus, gun and tank Megatrons as well, they're pretty handy desk buddies. Not sure how to reconcile their presence with Siege Prime, Megs, Scream though. I guess I'll have to throw some of them out??

Red Hot? Nah, he's pretty shit, although maybe not as a bad as Swindler. Still, I tossed him in a drawer of spare tiny bots on day one, and I don't think I've ever taken him back out.

It was probably me gushing about Stakeout. He's been on desk-duty ever since I got him. He's the kind of pocket-friendly car-bot that would have blown my mind when I started collecting over a decade ago.

Oh, I do. Usually to check and see if they still suck. They're not the worst, but I get bored with them pretty quick. Besides, the micromaster squads are already incomplete, so I really don't feel bad about breaking up teams that Hasbro already broke up in the first place.

I once saw a tfw2005 mod at toy's r us. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be weird and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen beast hunters abominus figures in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the figures and started carelessly scanning it, he stopped her and told her to scan them carefully “to prevent any damage that could lower the item's resale value.” He then turned around and winked at me and said, "I'm going to have these afa graded."

My collection isn't very big, I've started at the very beginning of 2019, but it started to bother me just a little bit how few white-colored and car Decepticons I have. For a second I wanted to remedy that, but then I realized that by the end of the year we'll be getting three generally-white Decepticon cars - Runamuck, Exahaust and Bug Bite.

The Circular holes were for additional null rays. I think the skywarp from the combat hero prime 4 pack had them.

Seems redundant when the figure has the null rays built into it.

It started with the GDO releases. The redecos, Hoist, Bluestreak, Thundercracker, and Motorbreath were all remolded to hold weapons that they came with. Many subsequent redecos used these versions so you had Starscreams with extra Null Rays or Optimus' with swords.

I get your point but I think it's easily explainable.
Decepticons are mainly military bots and Autobots are mainly civilians but that doesn't mean all of them back to be those.
Barricade is a police officer so you would assume he'd be a Autobot but any he's a Decepticons, meanwhile Hound and Warpath were probably in the Cybertronian military but instead sided with the Autobots.

Can't recommend TR even if you like the deco, it has sloppily done paintwork and sticker-pasting. LG has an imitation KO that seems quite decent, idk but it's cheap.

T30 has a fiddly transformation, shitty shoulders, and a rubber head to accommodate a gimmick that was only present on the animated version. TR parts forms because of the stupid head master gimmick, has shitty proportions, and uses stickers because Hasbro was cheaper than normal and didn't feel like painting shit above deluxe class figures for some reason.

Its really like choosing between a turd and a douche.

Headmasters are okay as long as the character actually was a headmaster originally. Forcing the gimmick on the entire line was just stupid.

Thanks anon, it's actually based on a dumb story I have in my head about my transformers, they're he first cons to land on earth.

Doesn't matter, I don't care how accurate it is to that one episode. To me, it just looks like cheap shit; a man in a green onesie. The only paint apps he really has is the shit smears on his arms and legs and the paint on the nose and those are very minimal making the overall toy incredibly bland which is probably why the set is usually seen going for $80 instead of $90. No wonder some cartoon color schemes didn't come back, even Takara knew how bad they looked.

Yeah that's pretty much why I planned on customising it by swapping the forearms with Starscreams, removing the battle damage, adding some yellow to the legs and trying to find a camo decal to add to the wings.

Easy. Super mode bonanza! Every deluxe figure can combine with Leader figures for a super mode. The Legends figure would attach via a space on the torso, revealing a chest emblem and a second super mode head that's different on every deluxe figure. Voyagers form super weapons for the super modes (larger weaponizer's, basically).

I'd just go full brave with them. Legends size robot with full articulation, combines with something (dragon, T-Rex, trailer, massive airplane, jumbo jet, a school, a building, etc..) for a super mode. The legends figure can be used for any other "something" combiner vehicle part for a super mode.

Deluxe figures would be in waves of 3. Can combine into one robot. One forms the arms, the other the chest, the other the legs. All sets are interchangeable.

No idea what to do with voyagers.

There's no rules on this, and you're more than likely going to pay more for the convenience of not having to buy a whole box set just to get the one figure you want, especially when it's part of an exclusive or limited box set. Back at you. I'm partial to G2 garishness, but his comparatively-understated G1 bro is just as suave in a kind of different way. The gold really pops, and the rare blue eyes on a Decepticon make him somewhat of a darling to me. I imagine him as that random bot who could have easily joined either side, but is mostly just trying to watch his own back and make it out alive. There's a bit of Blackjack in all of us, in that sense.

I found Earthrise Optimus and Starscream at Target today but I could just not pull the trigger on them.
The Siege molds were just so good and looking at these guys in the package they just seemed like downgrades. ER Optimus has those weird proportions and reused legs with the vestigial trailer hitch, and Starscream just doesn't feel right to me, like he's too blocky or something

I don't own either, but I straight-up prefer the Siege versions of both; Starscream for his superior posability, and Optimus for his discount cyberpunk truck mode and sick transforming axe-shield, as well as the better proportions you mentioned. Plus, the ER version of Prime really just seemes like a discount MP, and I've already got MP-10 and feel no need to get another vanilla G1 Optimus.

I'm winding down on collecting, but I always said I'd pick up Thundercracker and the 35th anniversary redeco, respectively, but I never happened across them in person, so whatevs.

YEAH, I exchanged a thing I got and that was the only figure currently available but yeah, what a fun little bot. The jet from the top looks kinda like one of those starships from those old arcade games where you blast aliens. The ship definitely isn't ideal but actually isn't horrible either.
I've the henkei Starscream so the ER one just looks like a just-as-unposable-no-waist-swivel supersize. Weird how I love it when waist swivels are there but I also seldom use them. I guess it's something about the human condition wanting freedom?

Yeah, I think an issue with the armour up gimmick on his is that it doesn't really feel like he's actually armouring up unlike Magnus, he could have done with gauntlets and maybe a piece to go other his torso.

Not a huge fan of the armour but it does beef up a dinky spaceship (and good gun) into a pretty formidable battlecruiser. Would've bought Shockwave and Astrotrain without the extra parts at voyager prices though

Been collecting since G2. Only recently have Transformers truly given me buyers regret. Prime Wars and Leader Jetfire were light, but they were big and sturdy enough. These new toys are tiny and light. If they had more size, I probably wouldn't give two shits about the weight. Same goes for the reverse. A little weight and it'd feel worth the ticket price despite the size.

Fuck off zoomer faggot, this hobby is not for you. For years TRUE Transformer fans never had a proper G1 remake line that was in scale just like the cartoon. Transformers was held back over the years by the stupid logic that size = price. That a leader class toy had to be 30cm tall at the very least for example. And its all thanks to UTshit trilogy for introducing the concept. But thanks to Warden the new trilogy has sized every characters correctly to the size they were in the cartoon and the price you pay is in the engineering and sheer love for G1 that these designers have put into. If you can't see Transformers that way grow the fuck up or get out.

No, I would personally say ER had a pretty mediocre start especially compared to Siege. The micromasters being a step down, Cliffjumper being significantly smaller in both size and mass as well as partsforming, Grapple and Hoist having clear issues with their alts for the sake of the robot (common problem with WFC) and Starscream being a disappointment. They blew their load too early

His dino proportions are even worse than his robot mode's ones. They couldn't even be bothered to make an attempt to compress the dino legs even slightly closer to the torso. The translucent plastic is also an issue but thats a problem with all of them. Good thing the OSKO costs absolutely nothing and is far better in terms of quality but still not that good

Why not vehicle pretenders? Get a simple design you can fold up into a basic space car/jet and leave the interior hollow enough for a small bot folded up into a ball to fit.

I was a pretty big PotP naysayer, but even I have to admit that it had some gems. Battletrap, Slash, and Tailgate were all pretty fun. The only non-Legends thing I bought was Darkwing, who, even though he's a CW retool, ended up with some pretty solid overall quality. And I did buy the Seacons, who were mostly retooled from PotP molds, and I have to say I enjoyed them all quite a bit.

Honestly, Battletrap is one of those figures I feel succeeds tremendously in spite of its flaws. Yeah, I can point at some pretty major "issues" in literally every single mode of both the individual and combined figures, but it doesn't stop him from being an absolute blast to play with.

I didn't really like the way Dreadwind looked, so I skipped him. I bought DW around the same time as Quake, and I like to have them pal around together because they both have that lightning bolt insignia. Also, he buddies up with the Seacons sometimes because he actually makes a better gun mode than any of the Seacons do, and the turqoise matches perfectly.

I can understand the teeth gnashing of some of the folks here, I just recently started collecting transformers because I was a g1 fan when g1 was already a long distant memory (Born in 90') so it's nice to have an in scale representation of my favorite characters, titans return and power of the primes just looked worse by comparison to siege.

There is another Prowl release coming, alongside Ironhide. Though it hasn't been shown yet, I assume it will use the earthrise mold.

I bought Smashdown, the hot rod and military patrols from walmart bc TRUs are still closed. All that's left are Ironworks and Grapple at no-sale prices, and I THINK maybe some Hoists.

What are some purchases you're looking forward to making once stores are open?

I'm still stuck on contemplating Wheeljack or Cliffjumper or both. I've a weird theory that Cliffjumper will shelfwarm due to size and/or be repacked due to "less plastic" or something. But he looks so fun, whereas Wheeljack's kinda just... there. I liked him a lot in the cartoon and comics, but he was never a favourite. Plus I have Perceptor and Ratchet for science things already. Maybe Grimlock still misses his dad? I don't know what to do.

If you're talking just concept, I like the idea of airrachnids vehicle basically being backwards spinister. The tail is replaced with a cockpit top, the cockpit on the leg replaced with a copter tail

The animation models are owned by Sunrise, which is owned by BanDai. The original toy molds are owned by Tamara still. They can homage Brave, but had been stopped by Hasbro legal. I don't think John cares as long as it's a Japan exclusive, but won't import it via Pulse, just in case BanDai sics their lawyers at them.

Takara has molds for one Brave homage from a WFC toy, but the sheer amount of remolding makes it cost prohibitive to release on their own.

We are getting a lot of Victory in WFC3, which is proto-Brave. I think most of you guessed that Jetfire is going to be remolded as Star Saber. Victory Leo, the Liokaiser team and Deathsaurus are all registered as a Hasbro trademarks now, if that gives you any other hints. Some were for the mobile game. Others not. There are others if you lurk the legal websites.

The mold is getting a WFC release before the BW 25th subline. That line will not merge BW in WFC, but will only address the show canon. It'll be sold as Cheetor in the show colors in that line, plus a Tigatron deco. (Stripes has new robot and beast mode heads.)

How I have it in my headcanon is that each good at a different field.
Ratchet is medical science, Perceptior is biology ans Wheeljack is the engineer or something along the lines of doctor, scientist, engineer.

But it will never stop being strange to me that they based it on the CW Ultra Magnus mold, a mold which actually had a little guy combine with a big robot, and they didn't reuse that engineering for Hi-Q.

It sorta depends on the scale
If they made it small, like siege leader class size, then they could probably just have the limbs peg into slots on the little arms' shoulders like weaponizers
If they make him regular combiner size, it'll take some engineering

The pretender redesigns were already perfected in 2010. the core bot should really just be a small pilot if anything because half of the originals didn't even turn into anything remotely recognizable. Plus it's much cooler if say Gilmer transformed from a boat to a fishman than a boat to generic robot #43

Imo anorher way they could update it is to do an armour up gimmick.
Have your normal base bot and then have the pretence pieces be armour like Ultra Magnus that works in both modes.
So with Bludgeon it would be his normal tank into generic bot but them you can add the skull mask and samurai armour on top of it.

They were each going to do one of them as a box set, but sales weren't there for box sets by that point. That's why Hasbro initially bailed on the Seacons too. They're not interested in Monstructor at all. Dinoking is still going to be up to Takara and they don't want to have to make two whole new molds for it. (Translation: Don't have the resources.)

We're only getting a new Liokaiser because John hated the CW one almost as much as Takara did. Luckily, Takara is insisting on making Battle Masters for the breast animals, so the team will finally be completed.

Yeah that makes some sense. It doesn't really bother me but I wish guys like Barricade had thigh swivels or Sentinel Prime had a waist swivel. As is though, the transformations being a lot more complicated than WFC stuff makes them fun enough for me

I took the soft side of a velcro adhesive strip and cut out a tiny square and stuck it to the back side of the headmaster port to create a buffer to stop movement. Or you could even just use a small piece of card stock or whatever. Pretty quick and easy fix.
