Which is strange, because it would have cost next to nothing to give rath the cut tail part. It would have been an easy way to make it seem that he has more value.

I really hope this isn't a trend because almost every monster can have its tail cut. I wonder if the part is universal and this one way Bandai is trying to get us to buy both.

As the forerunners of the line, I'm sure all sorts of considerations for setting expectations and prioritizing budget are being tested with these two. Rathalos gets a whole other set of wings and a fire effect, while Nargacuga doesn't get another set nor an effect part for the trail its eyes make (though the alternative satisfies me).
On the topic of parts and budget, it's going to be very interesting to see if and how they handle Gore Magala with its transformative nature. To say nothing of the Chaotic version (likely to be a premium product).

Yeah, it's going to be really strange how they are going to handle something like an elder dragon without breaking the bank.
For example, valstrax's accessories could include:

Open wings
Closed wings
"gunmode" wings
"side slam" wings
Knife wings
Enraged head
Exhausted chest
Cut tail
And that's not counting all of the dragon effect parts

I think that multiple releases with different focuses could be a fine approach. That, or accessory packs. The latter might seem unrealistic, but the very fact that there is a sub-line dedicated to creatures and it is now working with Monster Hunter, I think that shows the potential for such flexible thinking. I expect we'll stick to very popular mons that are flagships and can serve as a base for other mons. Knowing we have Narga and Rathalos, we'll get Tigrex and Rathian at some point i'm sure. I then expect Nergigante, maybe Brachydios or Velkhana.

not the same thing. all of those items past the obvious two new things, are not actually in game things. the AGP is a monster girl, the Zinogre is some super stylized figure an artistic interpretation if you will, and the rathalos hunters are transformers.

If they spend the entire year closed off, it's going to seriously impact them financially so they'll want to get back to business even if only for a few months before Corona 2
Personally, I got them on HLJ so I'll just keep them on Private Warehouse until I can get them through normal shipping and not deal with scum-sucking companies like DHL and Fedex

those are specialist-artist's take on the monster hunter designs. I own the Takeya Zinogre SHF and it's beautiful even if it does have issues with posing due to how top heavy it is. I'm hoping they'll figure out a balance before they go deep into the SHF Monster Hunter line.

I think Rathian won't be P-Bandai, but I can guarantee you Azure/Pink/Silver/Gold will be. Maybe SDCC for one or the other, but yeah.

The only other fanged wyverns are Tobi and Odo and neither are really that close in body shape to Zin.

There’s no way they could incorporate all the spike growths, that’s just impossible for a figure to do unless you you can take every inch of Nerg apart which I don’t see feasible. Really want me a figure of it but I doubt he will come.

Nergi will happen but he'll probably be either no spikes mode or black spikes mode. Even then, if he's at all comparable to Rathalos he's going to cost a fucking fortune, with or without additional wings.

i love revos but not for this instance the sculpt didn't really work, a bit too clay like for me. I'm really hoping SHM will do a ZInogre, especially since I own the SHF of Takeya Zinogre hunter.
