Yes, actually. I saw a kid (probably 12 or 13) buying a nu-Pennywise and one other figure from the Target section. The Godzilla figures sell extremely well too, and I imagine some kids get in on that.

The first wave is due to release next month I believe.
I just got Splinter and Raph but I might get Baxter if it's good.

The NECA turtles are good for a video game display, but the Figuarts Turtles are my main toon turtles and the only ones I'll ever need. If they had made April, Shredder, Bebop, Rocksteady, and Master Splinter I would never have the urge to collect another TMNT figure again...

I doubt it, it was shown off with the plastic one originally so my guess is the opposite, that originally it was just going to be the plastic rob but then they listening to fans a added a fabric one as well.
They seem to be doing that a lot with these, like how they are apparently giving Bebop a brown head and Shredder his weird hands from the original toy.
