Hi there, American expat here. Now I live in Europe (Denmark, Copenhagen) and asking if there are fellow Europeans in this board. How do you guys cope with the shipping expense, import taxes, and lack of room for the hobby?

I have an airbrush set and occasionally do gunplas or custom. But now I'm renting a room on a flat, sharing it with 2 other stranger. Rent is already very expensive, and they put so many clauses that it is nigh impossible to do your art (paint splatter, etc). Storage unit is also expensive and apartments don't come with storage units. Heck, I pay 800 bucks per month and the shower in my apartment is on top of the toilet.

I presume you guys immediately throw away all the boxes of the import toys you bought? What's the point of buying toys if there's no room to display them? Any protips on how can I maintain my hobby while in Europe?

Copenhagen might be a crowded city, but I imagine London, Berlin, Paris etc would have similar space/rent/storage problem.
