Original Rebels 2 pack was almost chalk white.

Lego Sabine was normal fleshy peach.

I bought a case that had Mace, Battle Droid, and Mudtrooper in it because I want them for not rape prices and Dryden and Padme are good enough additions that I didn't mind paying $120 for it. The only problem is that it also comes with Holdo, which is a character I have no real interest in. Well probably would have made more sense to put that in the post instead of just the image with no context. None the less, it doesn't seem any different than the original release so I don't know what would be the incentive for anyone to get this with an increased price. Yeah, it's the first time I'm going with Figuarts. I usually think TBS figures are fine especially for the price, but IG-11 was such a disappointment that I'm willing to pay extra for Figuarts. I'd do the same for an IG-88.

Is it better to order stuff from EE or Dorkside? I have never used either before but I want to get the rerelease Boba, Stormtrooper Luke, Jedi Luke, and the rerelease Maul. EE claims that Boba and Stormtrooper Luke will be releasing in October and the other two in September, so would it work if I made two different orders for the two that are supposed to be released at the same time? Dorkside is cheaper and I could just add everything to the pile of loot feature but they claim different release dates and that the rerelease Maul is sold out. It seems like Dorkside would be better but I have no idea if they will restock the preorders for Maul.

That's really the only reason I like them and want a few of the BS versions. I haven't seen ROS yet but I figured they didn't do much in that anyway. But they definitely fucking slay in BF2. Them and Phasma are the only redeemable things about playing that era.

Heat the head up using a hairdryer and then gently pry the edges away using a mini screwdriver. Use a Dremel with a bladed ball engraver tip to grind out the glue or whatever is up inside the hairpiece to seat it lower on the head. Or grind the top of the head down.

Yea but AotC also sucked and the phase 1 clones showed up for the last like 15 minutes of the movie but they still had a really awesome design that people gladly army built. I like the sith troopers more than the first order ones cause of the more angular nature of their armor but I'm not crazy about them being all red.

I've being thinking the same, also, and this is just my opinion, there's no harm in mixing them with regular FO troopers as A: it's the same period and they are technically on the same side, and B: BFII already does this.
So if you have FO troopers you could easily add a few Sith troopers as elite troopers, just are you can go full Sith trooper for army building.

Both are great figures, but I would say K-2SO. Just be careful with his eyes. I remember having to root through TRU to find one that was acceptable. I know there is also a red eye dot version, for some reason.

Be wary, that boba has a slew of engineering issues. His hips are always compromised because of the hard plastic used on his pouches, which hinder his articulation. His elbows are equally irritating, as he can't do much aside from a 90 degree bend so any potential firing poses are null and void. His feet suck ass too, typically stiff, there's no point in moving them around really.

6 inch is too small and dinky. I'm fine with anywhere from 7 to 9ish. The figure I started collecting with was the marvel select venom, he's like 7.5 inches and he's great. I find the larger figures have more sculpt detail on average too. And Storm is one of my favorite lines and they're all 7+.

I find your preference for 6" as baffling as you find my preference for 7". Maybe people just stick with what they start with.

It is annoying. The line has been going for like 7 years and we've barely got any Sith or dark side characters in it. I just recently ordered Dooku so I'll finally have every Sith from the movies along with Revan and Kylo. I can't believe it took so long to make Dooku, and the only Sidious is him from RotJ. I hope they make a RotS Sidious sometime with the grey robes. I pretty much only collect Sith and dark siders so Nihilus coming is nice and I'd love a Ventress sometime.

The SHF ANH Stormtrooper is definitely better than any Hasbro Stormtrooper. The new BS one looks good but they decided to gimp it's knee articulation so we'll see how good it actually turns out to be. As far as the rest of the cast, it really depends figure to figure. Like Black Series Dooku is far superior to the SHF for instance but Black Series R2-D2 is terrible while the SHF is better in every way.

The point was it doesn't just look better but it works better and comes with more stuff. The plastic quality is also a bit better imo. Most of the time import companies do justify a higher asking price than domestic companies although I'll admit prices are getting to be a little too damn high now.

I mean 1:18 was never widely the standard. Star Wars and GI Joe had success in it and like a ton of properties tried it for a bit, but it never stuck around. In fact there really wasn't a standard until recently. Star Wars really was the last major property holding out on it, and once they caved it was over. Kinda makes things more boring in my opinion. Every line is so same-y now and lacks its own identity.

6" wasn't even a standard until recently. In the 80s and most of the 90s, they didn't even have 1:12, they were 5" figures, which is what... 1:15 scale?

The ONLY long running scale is 1:18 and has been done for almost literally every property.

I never said everything Black Series did was shit, on fact I posted an example where the Black Series is clearly better, Count Dooku. Black Series has better variety and the face printing is getting pretty damn good. In fact the majority of my OT figures are Black Series because Bandai won't touch their ESB looks for some reason and those are my definitive versions of the characters, but I can clearly see the SHFs justifying the higher price point. I'm not defending my purchases because I mostly collect Black Series minus SHF R2 and a few Mafex figures like Vader and Boba. Mafex Vader and Boba are still the best figures of those characters.

Hasbro actually sculpts in the details that should be sculpted, unlike Bandai who have mushy sculpts and mostly relies on literally printing a face to fake it. Hasbro only uses the low res print to act as highlights, shading, and other effects usuaully related toward airbrushed techniques. They still use tampographs and spray apps on the face, unlike Bandai.

Two different approaches with the same technology.

I wouldn't say 1:18 was ever the standard. TMNT, Power Rangers, He-Man, Thundercats, WWF/E. All those major action figure brands aren't known for having a 1:18 line. Superhero toys aren't known for a single scale since they play hot potato with toy manufacturers, toylines, and scales. There was never a time where you walked into a toy aisle and everything was in in the same scale. Some properties had a stint with 1:18, but clearly it didn't last. Literally the only toyline I can think of currently that still does 1:18 is Star Wars. Batman has a 4" line I think that's brand new. Marvel doesn't do 1:18" any more. GI Joe is 6" now. Power Rangers never did that scale.

No. I said some both lines have good figures and shit ones. I then listed examples. Another example of the SHF being better than the Black Series would be Farm Boy Luke. The BS for that one is awful. But then again the Black Series Mandalorian is far better than the tiny headed SHF with fiddly accessories. The BS Mando is so much better, Eve with the plastic cape.

Rogue One Vader. He's pretty terrific with his sculpted eyes that you can see through the red translucent lenses. Only gripes are his plastic skirt which a lot of Vader's seem to suffer from and he can look like he has a beer but if you aren't paying attention when posing him.

There's some, but most companies generally produce a line in their respective scales. Sculptors and styles seems to be what actually makes the differences between the lines.
With Mattel? Unless 4H is sculpting everything, who generally do make oversized males, it's likely they just do not give a fuck about scaling anything ever.

Like what? Revoltech, Mafex, SHF, bandai model kits and figmas are all 1:12 scale. You can claim figma try for their own scale since their figures tend to run small for 1:12 but the rest of the lines I mentioned follow the 1:12 pretty faithfully and can be mixed in with west 1:12 figures easily.

Scale is inconsistent across the lines.
They generally keep the licenses to scale, but to what scale is always the question.

Star wars figures from figuarts and the model kits are pretty much perfectly in scale with the black series and from what I've seen figuarts marvel line also tends to be around the same height as marvel legends figures.

As for your comparison It seems rather clear I was referring to how the scale compares with west figures which from this picture like I said they line up rather perfectly so if Hasbro is 1:12 so are the band-aid model kits.

Not really.
I mean, Hasbro does suffer from scale creep, but that's when they're rerererererereusing the same bodies over and over... like comic Dr Strange on the left here. They're usually accurate when they produce brand new sculpts, like the movieverse Dr on the right.
So SHF Strange here isn't even king of manlets height and Cabbagebatch is 6' tall.
The fact that Bandai also gives the majority of their figures pinheads really hurts in making them appear 1:12. So even if you want to pretend their figure is a laughed at manlet, the tiny head ruins that illusion. Not this Dr Strange though. IT has good proportions.

Like i said, they generally just aim at a certain size, but it's iffy on whether it's actually to scale or not.
Like that that Boba Fett model? IT's nitpicking to say he's too tall, but he still appears to be in scale so it's alright that a Stormtrooper is 5'10. When you look at something like those Spidermans or these Dr Strangers, you're going to question which is to scale or not. Same shit with Mattel's oversized figures. They don't scale with one another and wonder which is going to actually be in scale.

There was the time where it was the standard for Star Wars specifically. Because 1:6 barely had any figures made compared to 1:18.

GI Joe is having a 1:18 line later this year, which was supposed to be out already, but delayed thanks to China trying to start WW3.
The Marvel 1:18 line had continued on as a gaming line right up until last year.
The other lines are from Toy Notch, Mezco, and Ori Toys/Acid Rain.

Even Hasbro was producing various other scales when STar Wars, GI Joe and Marvel were primarily 1:18 back in 2008-2012.

Because there really is no standard with anything really, even when it comes to what "1:18" means, hence Star Wars figures being 3.75" and GI Joes/Marvel being 4"

I remember they made a big deal about realizing that the first wave of a new line is always over-ordered, so they would make sure that thw TVC revival's first wave would be solid. Then it turned out to be repacks of figures that had already pegwarmed in the Walmart TBS line, and the lone new figure was Snoke, who even if TLJ hadn't killed him off was never going to excite people enough to buy him in droves. So their promises meant nothing and the revival was fucked right out of the gate.

Haslab is a completely different beast
It's a concept designed for completely ludicrous and balls to the walls designs that couldn't sell in stores
TVC vehicles can sell in stores; they don't. Haslab would be a fantastic avenue to get a 6 inch scale Republic Gunship or large diorama and instead hasbro is using it for TVC, a line they by all means aren't even really interested in supporting
I'd collect 3.75 star wars if they didn't look like shit but that's another story
