I might customize them when I get it. I'll repainted Vegeta to be super saiyan, and give Goku a light shade of clear Magenta to him more accurate to the first movie.

I haven't seen 2ft+ figures with articulation but even then, I imagine the price would seriously limit sales and that's why Bandai is trying to put out something that's still in a price range some collectors won't mind paying

Vegeta was super short back then. The figure is based off Vegeta's height in Super and Buu Z, but he was barely a head taller than Krillin in the Saiyan and Namek sagas. If you adjust for inconsistencies then Nappa is around the correct height while Vegeta should be a head or half a head shorter for that iteration.

Of course, but based on the size and price it might have lower quantities than the usual SHF. And unlike Shenron he's a web exclusive in Japan. I'd pay close attention to local Gamestops or B&N because he seems to be sold out online most places. Can't even find an Amazon listing.

I get why we can't get this, and the articulation isn't as polished, but NECA can crank out articulated 1/4 figures for $120.

I assumed that the reason the blue hair in the Broly movie looked different than the blue hair in the anime was because the movie took place some time after the Tournament of Power, and Goku and Vegeta had both trained off-screen and mastered Blue Evolution or SSB2 or whatever its called.

I prefer the new blue to the teal anyway.

Just inconsistency. The teal has been getting shit on since it was introduced. The only compromise on the preferred hair color is people seem to also really like the icey blue of the manga, but the teal hair looks gross, and always has.

I think a big consideration for the original hair color was that both Goku and Vegeta had a lot of blue in their color schemes already, so they made it teal to stand out.

Conversely, Broly's motif was green so they probably wanted to tone down the teal tinge and made it more blue then darkened the costumes to help it pop.

I liked the new blue until I started putting the Broly Vegeta head on different bodies and I realized how oversaturated it makes him look and that I kinda prefer the teal for that reason.

Every 2.0 figure that’s a few years old and out of stock on the normie sites is pretty much 100+ easily.

People say he was binning for a while so I’ll take their word for it. New people get inio the line constantly which keeps demand up for characters/figures that are no longer being produced.

At minimum, people have always wanted the three SS4s, and Omega. I've never seen anyone really asking for much else, though I can see people wanting Baby.

I imagine they ditched any effort on GT once Super came came out and was the immediate, big Dragon Ball thing, and GT was always kind of lukewarm in the fanbase.

They obviously had plans to do it at one point, since we've seen two different SS4 Goku protos, and the blue shirt, yellow pants base Goku.

Well Ginyu comes with a Namek dragon ball and Gohan comes with a Namek dragon ball, so it's pretty safe to assume we'll get five other Namek Saga figures that will also include the other five dragon balls. Even if Ginyu and Gohan bomb, I doubt they would just leave us with an incomplete set of Namekian dragon balls.

Basically a statue. Snake bodies with detailed exteriors are not good articulated toys.

I got it on discount for $40 and don’t hate it. It looks great on a riser in the background of my classic Dragon Ball figures. It also looks better if you have a setup where you can suspend it with wire instead of using the finicky, flimsy stand
