The Transformers brand's pop culture moment of glory geewunners never shut the fuck up about lasted for about a year and a half at most and everyone stopped giving a shit about season 3 and moved onto TMNT. Disney has been relevant for over 50 years because they were all well animated and had ridiculous amounts of money poured into them making them timeless. G1 is not and will never be this.
G1 has not aged well at all, the show looks like dogshit slapped together by some child slaves in North Korea, every character looks the fucking same and half the episodes are boring as shit. It's better than todays calarts trash but we can obviously do better.
Gundam, an infinitely better franchise does the same thing that transformers was doing for years up until 2015.
