Sony has a good working relationship with GSC, and they're pushing TLoU2 as the Next Big Thing. I'm not surprised that they'd see it as a good opportunity for another Nendo. Even outside of Sony stuff, there's been a lot of Nendos recently from game series more popular with the Western market (The Witcher, Resident Evil, Overwatch, DOTA, etc.), so it looks like that "stick Nendoroids in Gamestop/Best Buy/etc." tactic is working.
