Seriously considering picking up 2 of W-Soldier.
I'm absolutely fucking loving Gigantor right now, and looking through all the extra parts you get when you break Soldier down is just fucking awesome. It's hard to resist the urge to go and buy the Dark Cathode Bug and Raptor heads right now.

In the previous thread there was talk of an issue with the Cab not being perfectly level when combined, and it required sanding, but since it hasn't been brought up a lot it seems to be assumed that it was a first run issue. I'm planning on getting both, but that's as far as I know for any possible issues

God damn I'm so happy I was able to snag this off eBay. Every time it showed up people were selling it for like 40, but patience got me it for 20.
Now I just need Iron Beetle. Really want the recolors of the two as well.

I wish these would be brought back and rebooted though. I've never watched the show, but the toys themselves are really fun. Like hell, they're like a better version of Power Rangers (Cept Ryusoulger, since that's now being brought to the US, and I'm stoked to pick those up), as it promotes more imagination with the toys. It sucks that my son will always want to play with then, but I'll always have to say no due to the age of the toyline.

Unfortunately Mugenbine never got an anime. It was planned as part of season 2 of MachineRobo Rescue but that got cancelled. Air Leon did show up in a MRR epilogue short.

They're legit. but I tried picking up a couple and they didn't offer fedex or dhl for shipping, and I'm not sure if I wanna chance slowboat shipping nowadays.

Ah okay, dope. It's good to know that it's a reputable source. I'm sure HLJ will list it, so I have no problem waiting a month or so for it to show up, so then I can just ship everything I have in my warehouse.
I'm not sure if I should use EMS or DHL though.
DHL delivered my Gigantor without knocking or getting my signature (I never authorized them to release without it), and my tracking number still says it's with them. I didn't even get a notification till 8:30 PM saying it was out for delivery, when it was just on my porch at 1 PM. Would've easily been stolen.
Amazon doesn't even show that it's delivered. So I wouldn't even know that it was dropped off if someone did take it.
I really am not comfortable with that, and wonder if I should open up a claim with them.

Went ahead and broke down Gigantor into every piece possible that you get from him. I'm kinda sad that his legs don't come off, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to take to keep the strength that they have.

I'm trying to decide which one of the heads to get between Bug and Raptor. I'm thinking Raptor since I believe it comes with a waruder suit. (please correct me if I'm wrong).

You know, there's an elegance to these toys that fold up into some constrained size like the Diaclone Powersuits and BeastBox/Megabox. Maybe that's why I am not impressed with MFT originals much, there isn't this additional challenge to their engineering so they can tack on as much as they want, which in turns makes them boring.

I just got my Bug Head in the mail. It doesn't look like the raiders come with a base Waruder suit. Which is a bummer, since the site I used had the product picture of one of the combos with the suit as the main picture, so I thought that was included. Just a word of caution

You can find the KO for the Cosmo pack of regular Dia Battles, but it's not so cheap anymore since barely anyone has it. Cosmo Maneuver Dia Battles is crap unless you get a specific version, the MFT one is garbage. Battle Buffalo has no KO.

That's something that I kind of noticed with DA-22. I keep playing with it and putting it back in its little crate on my desk, already having played with it more than some of my other figures. I think it's just do to the fact that everything that comes with them compacts so neatly and doesn't take up any space. Though I have been eyeing that specific MFT model. I second that. I was debating on getting Cosmo as my first Diaclone figure, and did a shit ton of research on the KO vs TT. At the price you're buying the KO currently, it's just not worth it to not get the official figure.

Also, just got GFL 02 in the mail, I'm gonna go ahead and get that built up tonight and then I'll post some pics.
If it looks wet in the pic, that's because it is. Had to wash the mold release off, God damn it smelled bad.

One of the Diaclone collectors I follow on Twitter said his new Gigantor was sitting on his white desk and when he moved it, the sole of the foot had stained the desk. So watch out for that I guess. It's hard to see in his picture.

I appreciate the tip, but that's odd that it left a stain. The part on the foot is fully plastic, and not painted, so the only thing that I can think of is that there might have been some kind of residue or something on the desk, like maybe a strong cleaning solution, that started to eat into the plastic and dissolve it. I'll keep an eye out, but so far I haven't had a problem yet

Anyone here with a dia battles cosmo maneuver? How are the hips suppose to be? Is the whole pelvis meant to be ratcheted or just the grey thruster section? Because the connection of those grey thrusters to the pelvis doesn't feel ratcheted at all.

So I tried watching several reviews, I haven't heard a single ratchet from the hips. The knees seem to be, but I believe the thrusters aren't meant to be ratcheted at all. Sorry I couldn't be of much help

Also, does it bother anyone else that the head is jointed? Unless the head can be detached I really see no point in having the head on a joint

I highly recommend Gigantor if you've got the cash, he's about 330 on Amazon Japan (worth every damn penny), but DA-22 + Manuever SkyJacket is also really fun.
Those are the only ones I currently have good experience with

A lot of people have been praising Battle Buffalo, so if that fits your budget it might be worth picking up if you want a big robot

Lmfao so a weird update with DHL, it looks like I'm probably get my Gigantor refunded, as DHL didn't get my signature when they were supposed to, and just left the package. Their truck doesn't have GPS equipment, so the claims team can't even locate where it was dropped for "recovery"

I prefer the more plain/industrial look of the OGs, but happy to see this series score some partnerships and recognition.

I like how Ronin can wear its hip armor on its shoulders and its shield as a hat. Carbe has kind of a “Hero Factory villain” look to it... wish it had better feet to handle those big meaty claws.

Those rubber parts also were pre painted, and the paint would rub off easily where the armor touched it.
V1.5 is the superior version.

In this picture, I've marked all the areas of the soft rubber bits, which are an issue for people that paint their figures. It wouldn't hold paint for shit.
The 1.5 is all hard plastic (I can't remember the type, they specify on their blog) so it fixed that issue

This picture shows a breakdown of the internal changes. Now instead of the side pockets being attached to the ab section, they're hard plastic and are attached by a hinge that's sandwiched.
The ab section is its own price that fits over the joint behind it, and now the ball joint is locked into the chest panel.
There is a big issue with the legs detaching whilst posing, and it's quite frustrating, so the 1.5 fixes it. The neck was also changed, and it now has a hinge for better poseability.

I may be missing a few points, but in terms of which is better, it's ultimately 1.5
You'll just enjoy it so much more

Here's a pic of how the chest balljoint attaches in the OG, the balljoint just sits in there, with nothing to secure it, letting it pop out on its own by simply moving an arm or so.
It's honestly the biggest selling point of the 1.5 since they fixed it.

Nice. I think black samurai is my favorite. I like the flame ant too but...that sea green doesn't really work with the other colors. Soldier ant is the better color scheme but lacks the cool articulated hands.

Oof yeah that's a bit out of my price range then. If they were more around 15-30$ id consider, but looking through the website catalog they aren't that unique to blow big bucks on.
I'm about to blow a shit ton on the Snapships though, my order is at my local UPS station, and if I like the first couple sets, I'm gonna order 3-4 of every ship.
I really want to build a mech/walker like the one in Gen:LOCK using the claws of the Scorpion drop ship as legs.
The app shows that they should lock and not just swing, so I'm hoping it'll be able to stand on 6-8 claw legs

I'm absolutely fucking loving these.
For the price I got them (the Scythe Tank and Sawfly were like 11$, the 2 pack around 30$) these are awesome. The tops of the boxes can be used as stands, they have they're own figures, and a bit of the parts are painted

Get Gigantor. He's a blast and looks great side by side with the other dudes. Also he's big and substantial enough that you'll be satisfied with just having one, since he's big enough to take on your entire Dianauts force. If you have GV Destroyer then all the better. I still have my own Destroyer boxed because I like my display with the Big Powered in his walking fortress mode for now.

No clue about the Verse Riser, but better to pick them up now than later. Diaclone stuff can be quite the killer in the aftermarket.

Looking at the whole lineup, I guess I don't really dig the majority of it. My favorite two were already released, the chainsaw dude and the squat crabby one in the middle. no, Tung's designs are made by a different company. Might have been Toy Notch.
Tecco Toys is one german guy producing his own mech line. He made a number of mech garage kits before that, but this is the first time he's producing actual figures.

This line and Tung's figures are some of the stuff I'm most looking forward to, toy-wise.

I think someone asked on a random instagram post about that. If I remember right tecco toys said he wanted them to be sturdy enough so kids could play with them without any fear of breakage. At least that's the plan for now.

The problem is that they are Chinese and have like 3 or 4 names connected to them. Earnestcore is the one I use a lot, but they're also connected to wave, robot build, seiji nuclear, and seiji zukuzi or something like that. So that plus the generic name makes it a crapshoot on Japanese websites.

I feel this one came out better than the Kaiju mech, but I was actually able to give it a waist swivel, which imo is pretty cool

So are these guys modular after all? Cuase I have some pieces I REALLY want to glue down if there isn't an armor addon or something coming. Other than stuff falling off, it's a really cool robot with some great articulation. I think the butterfly joint might be the best one I've seen on a toy.

While Marzen (the original company that manufactured Asoblock) is defunct, a toy company called Volume One has picked up the line. I don't know if it's old stock, but it seems like there are no newly designed sets.
