No offense but a return like that would likely kill the line even faster than G2. Part of what made Bionicle (And to an extend every other CCBS line) so popular was the modularity of the parts, even maybe a bit of how "Non-Lego" it could feel at times because of how different it was to the standard minifig stuff.

Do I see it returning to stores? Honestly, I highly doubt it. What I could see Lego attempt though is something akin to Kickstarter or what Hasbro did with Unicron. Small runs of exclusive collector-focused sets with probably new pieces to go with too. Maybe it'd even end up like a monthly/yearly subscription thing like MOTU.

I actually wouldn't mind something like this. I feel like a G3 would likely fail even if Lego gave it the proper treatment, the fact of the matter is that very few young lego fans remember what bionicle is. Collector's sets, or even complete re-releases would be a nice middle ground between another doomed bionicle wave or no bionicle at all. I hope they at least include new recolors of old parts though.

Ah, I never even thought about re-released sets. Would work really well especially if they use the new thickened sockets from HF. Maybe they could even hold voting for what specific sets people would want to have re-released and whichever gets the most votes then goes into production.

Maybe it could even go per size class too. Say for example the tiny sets could be Kohli Matoran, the traditional canister set of 6 are Inika, the Titan is 2003 Takutanuva and maybe throw in the extra special set being something like Toa Mata Nui or Jetrax/Axalara.

Really don't understand why I've seen this take so many times, and why so many people think it's a meaningful criticism. Almost every Ideas submission looks worse, including most of the ones that have been approved and put into production. LEGO's designers always put more polish on them in the end.

BTW bionicle will never truly work in CCBS, in fact, the aesthetics and such already started to get out of hand by 2004.
bionicle should be highly technic dominat for it to work, not to mention the piston and gear details only look good when they're in places were it actually would make sense for them to be (take a detailed look at all the mata limbs to see what i mean). 2003 understood that armor was just that, armor. no need for pistons that in practice would literally do nothing, since 2004 onwards the pistons and such are just because it looks cool lol so it becomes a mess as the years go on. now onto ccbs... those detaila are JUST THERE BECAUSE IT LOOKS COOL LOL, literally just ad ons, just look at the uniter torso armor, awful.

I think one of the reasons why we don't get vintage Lego reissues is because Lego doesn't have all of the molds needed for some of the pieces.
Whenever a mold for a piece is retired, the mold is destroyed to prevent it from falling into the hands of clone brands.
We don't have Bionicle reissues because Lego literally doesn't have those molds anymore.
