Will we every get GOOD Final Fantasy figures that aren't made by Square Enix? Their quality control is shit and their scaling system makes no sense. Is it possible that Bandai or some other company of similar popularity will get the license?

Nothing is figuarts quality though, not at same price point anyways. Bandai can do it only because they're the biggest toy company in Japan with the right IPs.

Figma and Revoltech quality are the right comparisons, and I think BA is around there.

I'm pretty sure they're so off-scale because PAK wanted their toys to be "unique" and stand out from other scales.
I honestly believe that Square Enix are so fucking full of themselves, but their confidence in their own products has obviously paid off and so many people have been sucked in to thinking PAK are quality.

I think it was to trick people to buy them at the increasing prices. Because change in size of that degree probably would not affect cost that much. Same number of mold cuts, they are fully painted anyways, etc. Might affect transportation but they weren't selling that many of these to begin with. People assume big is expensive small is cheap so it's one way to "justify" ripping off people.

It's good, but not $70-90 good. It's probably the best Bring Arts, but even the best Bring Arts is roughly at the level of your middle-of-the-road release from one of the other big Japanese brands.

PAK started at 60 bucks, which is when they got bigger from the old Play Arts line that were like 25 bucks. I know everything has gone up since then, now they have an msrp of 16k. Shit's wild. I've heard they have better QC than they used to, and that the plastic quality is higher so they don't have as high of a breakage rate, but I haven't picked any up in probably 7-8 years.
