Somebodye told me they were doing a ninjaturtles transformers crossover combiner using the combaticons as the base and just repainting them as the turtles.

I get that the '86 movie designs are different from what WFC is doing, but I don't think they're different enough to warrant two different lines. I would like a good Hot Rod or Rodimus Prime though, whether it's part of a Studio Series or WFC doesn't matter to me.

I know someone who likes Anode but methinks he really didn't read the comics. And of course she should not be named who is so hated people actually block her altogether from their minds.
I kinda warmed up to Anode but her biggest issue is that her paint job sucks and you can tell the artist wasn't nearly on the level of Milne since she basically looks like a watered down version of Doctor Aphra.

The original concept had hotrod as a deluxe, able to completely fit inside like the other two leaders. That entire line was supposed to be about power ups by attaching armor and weapons, but they decided to shift that to wfc and we got combiner wars 2.0 instead

Smokescreen, Trailbreaker, Sunstreaker, Runamuck, Snapdragon...

Assuming Runabout happens too, and the upcoming Prowl/Ironhide 2-pack uses the ER Smokescreen mold for Prowl, I think that'd be good for me for Earthrise

What are the odds we'll get more figures revealed than we currently know about? There's still an Inferno to be made from that great Grapple mold afterall.

We should be getting a few more. Runabout might as well be confirmed, they even revealed the Runamuck mold had the others rifle so while it's not confirmation the tooling is already there. Other possible normal releases are Ratchet and Bluestreak.

I really doubt it, it has to be a new mold. So far everything in ER is either a brand new toy, or only uses a few parts from the Siege version (Optimus). The only one's that got brought over were some of the tail enders from siege that felt like they were meant for ER like Apeface, Astrotrain and the micromaster combiners.

No idea, they tend to show up a month or so before they show up online (seems to be August and September). So they could show up today or next month, but with Corona it's much harder to guess. I honestly recommend getting them online, you could also wait and get them on clearance later in the year.

Those are different. Bigger toys tend to show up in July and August. I really don't recommend you try getting them in a store, it's really hard to say when they'll show up. In previous years I would have said to wait around November to get them cheaper. Jetfire was actually pretty cheap a few months after release, Amazon almost had him half off at one point while Omega got a big discount close to Christmas. This year? I'm not sure if that's happening so if you REALLY want Sky-Lynx, pre-order or buy him from some site that has him at retail and has free shipping.

Note that there's a high chance Walmart will instantly put retail Sky-Lynx on clearance when they start showing up, but it's not worth the risk.

We got new concept art and story details for two cancelled Transformers movies from the writers room for the cancelled TFCU.

>Decepticons come during WWII to free Megatron, he was being Frozen somewhere else before being moved in Hoover Dam
>Main female character, US pilot

We also have Transformers 5 written by Ehren Krueger(TF 2,3 and 4 writer) but I go to it after dropping all Skyfire concept art

That could work, but then you get into alt-mode scaling; Cliffjumper may be as tiny as a Scout from the previous trilogy, but he is chunky enough to pass as a two seat super-compact.

Now that I am done with Operation Skyfire here is Transformers 5 concept art, only two pieces sadly. This one has Optimus Prime confront his creators. The film plot:
>5 years after AoE, Optimus Prime finds his creators on an alien planet close to the middle of the film and fights them he doesn't return to Earth until the end for a cliffhanger with his Nemesis Prime mode and the Quintesson army. Galvatron would be the main villain and Bumblebee leader of the autobots for the rest of the movie.

The creators and the knight crusaders. Kruger wanted to combine the Quintesson concept with the Unicron one because he wanted to make Unicron into an actual character instead of a big boss that destroys. All went into chaos when Lorenzo combined the scripts and Kruger left. This film was going to be the first non directed by Michael Bay until Lorenzo begged Paramount to get Bay back.

The new writers still use the board the writers room created and the concepts for future movies because Paramount wasted lots of money on it. So both the new Beast Wars film which from What I know releases before Bumblebee 2 in 2022 took a lot of inspiration from the writers room. Joseph Kosinki is favored by Paramount to direct a TF but they want to see how Top Gun Marverick does, if not then they get Travis Knight back.

One last thing. I think the Bay films era would've still continue if Lorenzo didn't combine the scripts. Paramount wants to kick him out soon anyway. Future TF films will still have some Bay influence but also more Bumblebee movie influence too.

Been a while since it was back when I saw AOE. They essentially terraform planets without regard to whats on them, wanted to capture him, were responsible for the deaths of many cybertronians via Lockdown, and almost destroyed Earth by providing the Seed (which was obviously intended to destroy the planet via the humans own incompetence). He had a damn good reason to find them, but the movie made it seem like he wanted to talk to them and understand what they wanted, he only came to blows when it obvious they were Tyrants.

Quintus Prime is a literal nothing. Just adapt Quintessa into the role as Quintessa Prime.

I have Siege Starscream and Thundercracker, and just got Netflix Hotlink. However, the Earthrise Thundercracker/Skywarp set is looking really nice, but if I get that I’d have to get ER Starscream to finish the trio, plus I’m getting the coneheads when they come out regardless.

Should I spring for all three base ER seekers? Is the mold good enough to buy that many times? I already have the mentioned three Siege seekers, plus the Rainmakers and an extra sealed box of the Rainmakers I might custom or open or just sell later.

A good solution to that is to get Siege TC, since he has a proper smug face. Then it’s just a matter of unscrewing the head from the back to disassemble the head, swap the faces and/or eyes, then put the heads back on and screw them back together.

That stuff is mostly for potential investors. If they can show than fans are hyped over a project they can get people to pay for the actual film production. If they can't, then the movies often don't get made. Just look at the recent problems with Star Trek 4. They keep leaking and announcing stuff to get internet buzz and then... zilch.

It is honestly such a shame this didn't happen. when the garbage fire that was TLK came out, I assumed the "writer's room" were a bunch of incompetent hacks who didn't really care about Transformers. Turns out I was totally wrong. All of this stuff is super cool. It would have made a great transformers movie, probably even better that the Bumblebee movie we got.

It honestly makes me mad that we got The last Knight instead of this.

Apparently RiD 2015 was Archer's idea but Warden tried his best to sabotage it but it didn't take. Warden (rightfully, imo) realized that the kid targeted "mainlines" didn't deserve the focus and the Classics legacy lines had more attention. And he's right. The modern TF cartoons exist just to be flash in the pans to appease shareholders that they're doing "new" and "different" things to appeal to some nebulous demographic of kids, when in reality both kids and adults just want the classics style stuff.

the only example we have of Warden hating Beast Wars was a now ancient 2014 ToyFair off the record remark from david Willis where he was said to call beast Wars "The Dark ages". Regardless of his personal opinion he's been very civil about Beast Wars and mentions how to a lot of people its their favorite. That's a perfectly reasonable opinion, and I basically consider myself a Beast Wars fan primarily.

The long term downside is that the series is stagnating and we will never see something as good and as bold as Animated or something as interesting-but-flawed in its ambition like Prime. Right now, Generations is doing amazingly well but...what then in 2-3 years? They just redo the '84-'85 cast again to keep them on the shelf in their iconic design? Personally I grew up on BW but think Animated was the best show overall and my collection of modern stuff is nearly just G1 shit. However the 'Beast Era' will always be nostalgic to me and I'd love to see Generations do more Beast Wars guys even if its just the show cast+some retools into beast mode version of G1 guys or something. Hell, use a BW CHUG line to finish up some G1 animal and monster figures and I'm good with it as long as we get the core cast of BW in some form.

I'm not sure some Netflix redeco of a car bot as 'Cheetor' really count or a single non transforming figure in a Wal Mart exclusive line count. As for the movie we don't know what form it will take or if it will even maintain of the BW cast.

Arcee is the autobot equivalent to Slipstream (small, nimble, fast, good with guns) and Strongarm is the autobot equivalent to Strika (heavy artillery, tanky,big, and compact). Interesting how that worked out.

BM had decent toys, but the show was a Charlie Foxtrot
CR/RID2K1 was fun and had lots of great toys
TF Universe
Armada had fun toys but the show was a CF because of laziness mostly. Comic was fun tho.
Bayformers, Energon and Cybertron had good toys. Energon at least had a good comic until DW shut down.
Animated started off bad, but grew into a really great show. Love the toys
Prime was mostly too slow and the toys were a step down from Animated's designs
I stopped paying attention to RID 2K5 and never bought a single toy.
I mostly skipped Generations too until recently. I've got most of the Weaponizers and passed on the dirt covered rehashed stuff

Mostly tho, I'm a Geewunner who also loves BW
