The molds are run over and over again, so if you miss out on something, you can probably get it in a different color next month.
Let me clarify: this is a building block toyline at heart, like Lego. The figures by themselves are very rudimentary because they're just peg-and-socket swivel joints, which is why people who just buy one or two figures and do nothing with them tend to quit the line and "not get it."
If you're looking at stuff in stock right now, I guess I'd get maybe like a Kabuto Mushi or two and a Nemesis? Those are pretty fun to build with even without additional accessory sets. If you're dead-set on not building anything, well, then it doesn't really matter, buy whatever looks cool to you.
There are forums to buy and sell on, but they're pretty dead. You can try here, which is pretty active at least, or try following people on Instagram (also a pretty active scene) and waiting for people to sell stuff.
It's adjacent to the sofubi scene and collaborates with some of those people, but it's not nearly as pricey or limited. It's a pretty accessible line made by a single down-to-earth dude from Massachusetts. He's humble, incredibly kind and giving, and not at all the type of person to run a pretentious or artifically limited line. This is a guy who throws in a dedicated freebie figure into every package (which he pays for out of his own pocket), and once gave me a figure from his own collection because I missed out and he heard me talking about it.
