Working on another Risk of Rain custom (well, I was until the big midwest storm knocked out our power).
This time it's Chef. I decided to go with WWR dropcloth legs, because I love the retro robot look they have, and I want him to be really lanky. Some people like to interpret his pixel design as having all bendy limbs, but that's annoying to pose, and in-game he clearly has a gait that indicates his legs walking, not rolling like other RoR robots.
Definitely have to bring in the noodle arms though, so he's got 3d printed noodle arms with an armature wire core so they can hold poses. At first I tried to use a 3d-printable bender model's arms, but those couldn't hold up the weight of themselves plus his hand and cleaver.
Once I have power back, I need to model an oven door and a head. I'm considering having his moustache be a black twist tie socketed into his face (so it won't be at risk for snapping off if he gets jostled).

>>8337632Resin prints are definitely the right choice for miniatures, though I'll also say: starting with resin printing will be a bit more of a learning curve. I've done both, and starting with resin first would have been rougher.
