Here's a random request, if anyone owns a Breakout Beast where the renders don't do the physical plastic justice, would you mind posting a picture? There are a few that seem very lackluster but look pretty great in hand. Blazore is one of them, I think. I've also wanted to have a good look at Polarpearl (Crystal Creature) to see she looks as nice and translucent as the render implies.

Drogon was 70% off for $20.99 at my local Target, and I still couldn't bring myself to buy it. I just can't into GoT/fantasyshit. I picked up a couple of the smaller Magnext sets at 50% off to fuck around with, tho.

My Drogon is in a banker’s box with a bunch of other MCX builds, but he is so worth it. At $20.99 I’d get at least 3 to turn into a sunburnt King Ghidorah. And I don’t even care about GoT or kaiju.

There's alot of sony franchises that would lend themselves well to Mega Construx heroes. Robocop is up there, but I'd happily take Rambo or Rocky, aswell as the MIB or Ghostbusters.

Well my order of 50 """random""" mega halo weapons arrived after over 2 months.
I knew what I signed up for but I am still dissapointed.

There isn't one really unless you luck out on ebay or go for 3rd party armorers, problem with the latter is they're always designed with Lego hands in mind and need modifying to be safely wielded by Mega figs. In a perfect world Mega would put out more of pic related, really it's about time they did some Covenant/Banished packs, most of their output has been UNSC.

Oh, seriously? Not being that familiar with the Drogon, I assumed they were the same build with some small changes (like I noticed it doesn't have the spikes on the chest). If it's much smaller, I probably will be disappointed, I wanted that giant wingspan I saw in peoples' Drogon pics.

If anything, possibly Hasbro getting the license, but nothing is confirmed, it was just listing floating around. It's still fully possible that MCX has some stuff planned, but could be waiting for the movie or a platform like SDCC to show any reveals.

Pretty sure those listings turned out to be these RoseArt GB Slime Test Tubes. No building blocks. Just tubes of slime with a little rubber monster inside each one. RoseArt is owned by Mega, so that's probly why their name was in the listings.

Why else would Mega choose to make all their newer lines in the inferior Halo scale? CoD scale are larger and require more plastic, which costs more money. So obviously they've chosen to make the cheaper figs to save money. Their product doesn't sell well enough to justify investing in the larger, superior CoD scale.

Just bought the throne this weekend, built it yesterday. It's pretty decent, not the best thing I've ever bought but it's fine. Only real complaint is that the assembly that holds up the different family emblems isn't totally secure. Too easy to twist something out of place or send a sword flying across the room.

On a separate note, my kid is building that set right now (I got him one to keep him occupied—when he’s done with it, I’ll have swords galore). He’s asked me for help building the scaffolding multiple times, and somehow completely misplaced all of the tube-joiner pieces.

All in all, the set is worth it for $15–you get 4 decent figures and some good building pieces, and a shitload of swords.

Also not at all, it fits like a damn glove. It only uses 3 figures, the new Halo Infinite Gungir, a marine from the last blind bag series and a Scareglow head. As another anon said those will be plentiful in the new Predator set.

I know this isn't the right place but this is the only thread talking about Halo, so I was wondering, are the only decent figures of Halo 3 characters the McFarlane Halo 3 line from 2008? They seem to be the scale that I like (I collect 1:18 Star Wars and I don't really like 1:12 figures) but they are all secondhand and quite expensive. It seems like all the modern toys are from Halo 5 that I don't care about and most of them are 6" anyways.

The general consensus around here is that they're holding onto the license until it returns with some major piece of media. Be that a new animated series, game, or a movie. With the announcement of that netflix cgi flick, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the turtles return by next year.

It happens with most Mega after a while: first comes the retail offering, then sales and eventually clearance, then discount outlets, then gone from physical stores but listed on Amazon and elsewhere for ludicrous markup. Feels like the process has accelerated in the last few years, largely due to the first part being affected by haphazard distribution. Terminator was an odd case, the sets started out as Amazon-only here in Canada, at inflated prices no less. Did cave and get the troop pack and the T-1000 at the time, only for both to show up at the liquidation centre here at rock bottom prices. Don't know where they obtained the lot, nothing ever showed up in-store here from the Terminator line previously.

Shout out to all the Mega bros I middlemanned for, hope they've been fun for you guys

Grabbed a couple Crystal Creatures from wave 1 (still haven't seen series 2, Canada btw) and damn, the slime in these is disgusting. Extremely hard to get off the pieces entirely, and it's not at all viscous so it spills all over. It was such a mess I didn't bother saving any, like I do with the other releases. I can't recall, but I assume Breakout wave 1 was the same way.

Heck yeah, Mega has come a long way. I'm super proud of how they constantly kept improving themselves, going from a mediocre Lego knock-off to where we are today.

I've actually stopped buying Lego entirely. It's still more cute and "iconic," but it doesn't excite me any more, whereas Mega consistently does.

I passed on those Probuilder bins a bunch of times, and now my kid is super invested in building things out of just those parts from all of his other sets.
Funnily enough, he likes the MCX stuff waaay more than Lego now. He tells me the colors are better, and the pieces are better (he has a bunch of Inventions sets, and a a few of the bigger Destiny sets).

My Targets under-stocked too. But what’s up with clearancing the giant Pikachu like a month after it hit?

Drogon really is totally worth going out of the way to look for - it doesn't matter what your thoughts on the source material are, he's undeniably the most articulated dragon made by Mega to date, even more than their old Plasma Dragons line, thanks to his brick-built nature. He's also huge. I'd totally recommend him to anyone that's still on the fence about him.

Good for parts, however face sculpts and paint are usually crap, plastic used tends to be on the cheap side but ok, weapons are as one piece and not much variety, just paint them how u want imo, best use is for army building...again be wary of the head sculpts and paint....

Current state of office MCX sets. The kid is getting bored, and he’s built, torn down, and rebuilt all of his own sets into new things. I offered to let him rebuild my stuff with the manuals, but he doesn’t want to tear them down.

I think we have around 20K pieces between the two of us, and it’s never enough for him.

Makarov isn’t wearing a suit under his tac vest. If you zoom in on the Wick pic you can see a dark outline around the white which makes me think it’s probably a Mulder repaint with.

Infinite Grunt? Can't say I'm a huge fan of the design from what we can see here. I think H2/H3 Grunt are perfection, with the sharklike Storm Grunt being my second favorite.
