>>8284950Saying that the animation is good is extremely reductive and I don't see how the cinematography or better yet soundtrack has aged poorly, they even recycled it in Uncut Gems and feels as modern as it can be.
Also Tetsuo being a flat character seems far from the truth, in fact I'd say he's rather well developed from the start until his final lines.
I'll agree on the fact that the plot is rather messy, mostly due to the fact that they couldn't wait for the manga to be over to adapt it, but it's a problem easily solvable when watching the movie after having read the original.
And as always, talking about the anime adaptation without taking into consideration the manga is a complete waste of time and can only lead to half-formed opinions.
