It's another Optimus Prime, and those things sell regardless of what series the design came from. If there will be an Armada figure in the future, chances are that it will be an Optimus.

The weird geisha design for Windblade came out of no where (instead of an Autobot Slipstream that most were expecting), and the fact that the retail version of Impactor was based on the Marvel UK version instead of the more-popular Spartan-esque LSotW design that people wanted to display next to the 2013 Generations Springer. People might have been happier if the box set had the Marvel UK head instead. If they were going for "giving what the fans want," they are really dropping the ball there.
>>8285620It fucking painful to see geewuners reacting poorly to non-G1 mainline figures despite Generations being mostly G1 since Combiner Wars. A lot of same people weren't even going to buy the figures since they lack diecast or rubber tires and were going to buy the $100+ third-party figure instead anyway. Also, according to the leaks, the line will be 50/50 Beast Wars and G1, so it's not as if G1 is ever going away.
