>>8290329I mostly posted because I'm more excited for the GI Joe retro line, despite being literal re-re-re-releases and noticed how nothing it feels with the STar wars thread, despite new products.
And the prequels were great (concept, designs, etc). It actually felt like i was going back in time in the Star Wars universe.
Whereas the sequel was like seeing a car maker switch to a new model 3 years later. The concept itself was a retread of the OT. Nevermind the fucking retreading stories and boringass TLJ (second movie I've ever seen i wanted to leave the theater for and it wasn't even 1/4th over).
To say that the prequels were retreading old designs is just wrong, not just because there should be some similarities between designs with there only being a 30 year difference in the military, but the fact that there was still a lot of fresh designs that added to the universe.
Nevermind the fucking alien designs, which there's also a chart showing how samefag and lazy the designs were in the sequels too.
>>8290327Kinda what i hoped for, but we've already seen toys from those series that i might not give a fuck about the toys still. Who knows. Maybe Disney's hishandling of the franchise just killed my interest with the merch altogether.
fuck if i actually know until i see something that's actually new and exciting comes out.
