As a Harley Quinn figure, I'm not a fan of the design. But I think this could make a pretty good Tank Girl figure with some slight alterations.

She's already got a helmet, the haircut, the under-bra, the bazzoka. You'd just need to do a bit of face painting and find some denim shorts (maybe steal suicide squad Harley's lower half).

Yeah, those elbows suck nuts. The insulting part of this figure is that they put cut bicep above, so basically the bicep will just spin around and around. Really hope they work on this some more before putting it up for pre-order.

Also the elbows have much better than 90 degrees, I doubt you'd get much more with double joints with that much muscle.

I was corcerned as well but it looks like it'll be fine.

You're right about the bicep though, usually that style of single jointed elbow is so that you don't have to add a bicep swivel and break the arm sculpt even more. Because that single jointed elbow will have rotation already.

That sort of thing makes me realize Mezco really has no idea how to exploit engineering and design to their favor.

I like that it has the bicep cut though, to mantain proper posing, I doubt that was intentional though.

My main problem with MAFEX is the QC. Other than that I do think they have wonderful sculpts and joints. But I've had 4 out of the 5 figures I've bought from them come out of the box with fucked joints that either broke after gentle posing, or extremely loose, making posing impossible.
If they worked on their lottery style QC Theyd be a must buy from me. I got the spider-verse Gwen and Miles pre-ordered so I hope its kinda fixed starting with those.

The only one that came out pretty much fantastic was the Mommy Gwen, everything else required modifying, and in the case of the John Wick it's unusable since the wrist pegs were falling out, out of the box. One of the pegs was cut/broken in half, and the socket on the alt head is too big for the peg.
And I got them all from BBTS just incase someone thinks they're knock offs.

I used to have some mutual friends with D_Amazing, he seemed like an alright dude and he mostly does pretty decent reviews. Still not a fan of his photography or ACBA-style setups, but his reviews are alright for first looks.

The few times he came to /toy/ though...well, he didn't exactly get a warm welcome, but he also responded to that in a way that I thought was pretty childish and immature. That's not saying that people have to all be totally chill when they're being fucked with, but I definitely admire people more when they can keep their cool under pressure.

It's called a dutch angle, and it is a cinematic technique meant to instill tension, apprehension, or dread. But many people don't understand it or overuse it. In the words of Roger Ebert,
>"the director, Roger Christian, has learned from better films that directors sometimes tilt their cameras, but he has not learned why."

I feel much the same way about toy photography. Especially ACBA. Many of them constantly use dutch angles, but if questioned, I'm not sure any of them could explain why or what they're trying to say by using it.

Since pictures are static, a tilted camera can denote motion and action in what would normally be just a still pose. That’s why you see these kinds of angles in comic books. It’s probably also why ACBA does it, but I don’t think they’re aware of the why and when. Most of them just seem to be copying it because they’ve seen it in comic books.

I was more pointing out the problems with his job in general though. To be real, I watch a bunch of sponsored reviewers, and I can only think of a handful of times that we got truly bad reviews from them. It's a tough line to balance, especially when reviewing is literally your livelihood, as is the case for certain people.
