>>8315223Target and other big box retailers aren't exactly the business being really hurt by all this stuff. They all stayed open and still made money. That said, they usually sell toys at a loss anyway and don't actually make money off these things outside of Christmas, they just have em to be the one stop shop for busy parents who can't be assed go to multiple stores.
>>8315350As someone who dislikes Roadblocks rail gun, wished the Joes came with more realistic-ish weapons and actively swapped all their guns out, I can honestly say I have no problem with Nerf Guns. Most Nerf products, especially the ones being used (except for Beachheads) are more or less based on real guns to begin with. Outside of crazy stuff like the disc launchers or zombie stuff, Nerf Guns try to emulate the look and feel of an actual firearm, just teched up to clearly be a toy. But stuff like the Rapidstrike and the Longshot are just pretty Nerf guns and make for fantastic firearms for Joes in the absence of actual real weapons.
That said, I didn't have an issue with Duke's gun either, outside of the colors. Mostly it's just I really dislike Roadblocks railgun because he's the teams SAW gunner, and the railgun feels more like a slower rate of fire long range cannon type of weapon.
>>8315849For now. If the popularity is there, he'd be more willing to make more. My only issue with the Marauder guns is their attachments use the same thin post system the smaller weapons use. With these larger figures, the posts just aren't strong enough to maintain the accessory's size and weight and snaps off much easier. Especially in the tighter grips of the Joes. If he makes more 1:12 stuff I would much rather he reworks the attachment system to something a bit more sturdy for their scale.
