Something I learned very quickly as a child was that as far as entertainment goes video games always were the best value. Even when that new game cost $50 and you could buy 10 action figures for the same price, 1 video game greatly outweighs 10 action figures.

A huge $200 lego set or model kit could maybe give you as much enjoyment as a single video game, but gain for four times the price. Given how huge video games became it seems I wasn't the only one who reached such a conclusion. Agreed? Why are videogames beating toys?
