>>8344046What happened to Jobby is what happened to Shartimus. They both got really big for a time because of their added humor and cast of "characters". Then their gags got old fast, leaving them in the proverbial dust. Now, their fanbase is just made up of diehard fans who just repost funny lines in the comments. In a nutshell, they went as far as they could, hitting the end of their roads sooner than they thought.
In my opinion Jobby has potential, but his cycle of depression, followed by inaction, followed by longer and longer lapses of content doesn't bode well with the audience. Even then, there's always the odd video where he addresses "the fans" who are calling him out on wrong think, and then he'll get too political for the average viewer. Jobby is the embodiment of "one step forward, two steps back". I wouldn't be surprised if Jobby turned out to be /toy/'s answer to Spoony in a few years.
On a somewhat related note, his art is great. If he wasn't such a wet blanket most of the time, I bet he'd see alot of success from his transformer girls. Be it as a crudely animated online series or otherwise.
