can /toy/ recommend me some good furniture to display my toys. i looked on ikea and i dont find anything good. i mostly have humanoid figures from figuarts, figma, PAK and bishoujo. i have about 20 figures.

Billies + glass doors and detolfs are common go too, personally I prefer the former because of the adjustable shelves.

They're pretty nice, really. I put together some for a friend, and they're decently hearty. I know /co/ recommends them, esp for heavy hardcovers, since they don't bow after a while. I have cheapo shelves from Target, and they bowed from the weight of my regular paperback books after about 6 months.

I might have to get some, even if the look of them doesn't exactly thrill me. I too have a cheap bookshelf from Target, and one of the metal supports actually punched right through the thin particleboard eventually, spilling all my books onto the floor. They really aren't made to hold much weight, which is crazy, cause they're bookshelves. Books are heavy by nature.

It happens, I just try to make sure that I put things on it that aren't likely to fall (larger Lego sets), or secure things that could (like use a display stand)

Billy + glass shelves are very good like somebody had mentioned. Definitely too big for 20 figures though, but you can always put books and such on it as well.

Detolfs I would not recommend unless the items you're putting in them are sturdy (like statues) or you plan on putting the smaller figures on stands, as they're rather flimsy and shake a lot.

wow okay thanks a lot guys. i never really do furniture shopping and the furniture i had before were all hand me downs. i recently moved and i had to throw away a lot of my old stuff. i felt i should have mentioned this in my OP.

Not really a big deal, just make sure you buy with the future in mind because you should plan to keep said furniture for at least 5 years
Don't feel afraid to look at local classifieds either assuming you have a means of transportation

In my opinion, you need a lot more space for your figures. It is even possible to allocate an entire room for this so that all the figures fit exactly. I can definitely say that you need a large cabinet and I think glass shelves and glass walls will be best because in this way all the figures will be visible through the glass and if you pick up a large enough cabinet, everything will fit and maybe even there will be space.
