Where do my fellow Canadacucks get their Neca Gojis? I'm about to bite the bullet and get the 62 and 64 before I never see them again. I used to have a comic book store near me that carried them, but they closed down. Walmart isn't carrying them, and on their Ebay page Neca's figures are too pricy. Is that my only option?

I have the Defo-Real Godzilla 2000 on preorder. It' says the estimated arrival is 3rd Quarter 2020. However, I'm pretty sure it has shipped from other outlets.

there's a reissue of the smaller one coming out soon, wait for it. It's a big improvement over the original release(still has a bendywire tail tho). It's made with the newer plastic they've been using for figures(and is therefore larger than the original and has much better paint apps.

the big 24in 2014 is also a pretty good if you have the space for it.

I hadn't been keeping up with releases at all, but I just happened to see this guy today at target. Favorite Godzilla right here, didn't even know they'd made him. Maybe that's a controversial opinion, but I just think he's super cool.

I might go back for the vs. Biollante one. I don't know. I like that movie, but Godzilla's design in it isn't super interesting.

I've only ever bought from their YJA store. I just have a twitter and he tweets exclusively in Japanese, so I figured it would be pointless to try to buy through DMs like he wants.

Speaking of the YJA store, there's three normal colour Hedorahs left. There were four a couple minutes ago, but that's because I bought one haha.

If you're talking about >>8345835, the left one is the reissued 2014 figure and the right is the 2019 figure. Two different designs and both do look good

if you're talking about >>8345809 then the left one is the reissue and is slightly taller and looks better, while the right one is the old one and looks worse.

It was mostly hearsay and misconception as Playmates never said anything about what the GVK line would consist of. Most people assumed the 6" scale stuff we saw in the old Hong Kong Toy Fair photos was some kind of collector line but it turned out to be the battle damage stuff that's out now. There's no plans for any kind of collector-quality line that we know of.

As a standalone figure it looks decent enough, better than most of their offerings anyway but it doesn't fucking scale with anything, why have this scale when nearly everything else they do is 6" scale?

NECA's human stuff is generally 7'' scale, its just there monsters and turtles that are a little shorter. And the Kaiju are probably shorter to save plastic.

I actually like this Kong toy with the axe. It's not bad for a 10 dollar monke toy.

I'll be very disappointed if there's not a scene in the movie where Kong rips one of Godzilla's spikes off and fashions the club though.

The nongodzilla figures have all sokd extremely well. The issue with the SHMA line is they've almost stopped non-Godzilla figures completely, include fewer accessories, charge more, and have worse paint on most of their releases.

Older figures tend to have worse joints, but the newer ones have gotten much better joints and more range of movement. The 64 is one of the best in this department after you heat him up to get rid of the initial stiffness

I highly recommend snagging 62 and a GMK, I know some Targets still have them in stock. But that really depends on where your located at.

I can’t decide if I want the NECA Kong bros. I have the playmates Kong and it scales well with the 2019 Neca Godzilla IMO, but it’s also shit quality besides it’s posability. I also like the axe.

Neca Kong would be too tall, but it wouldn’t be the end of the world because I don’t even display them together. But he can’t hold an axe which makes me want to keep the playmates version. What should I do bros?

NECA figures are 25-30$. You dont need this much internal anguish over something that cheap. Just buy it, and buy another one if it doesnt meet your specific display needs. But under no circumstance should you waste display space on a playmates figure. Thats child fodder only.

They're halting production after August. After they sell the last of their figures there will be no more until Playmates is gone or stops being anti-competitive.

Wrong. They debuted the original sculpt the day of the US release of the movie, and then said they were modifying it due to backlash. They had plenty of reference.

The feet are also inaccurate, the tail sucks, and it's the only Godzilla they've done that I can say managed to have a consistently sloppy paint job. It sucks.

It does when there are plenty of other Shin figures out there that actually look like the Godzilla from the movie. I'll admit that the NECA Shin is better than the Playmates Shin, but only because the Playmates Shin is a dumbed-down version of the NECA mold.

I'm actually trying to collect all of the figures from NECA's Godzilla line, but their Shin is objectively bad. The Atomic Blast version is a little better, but the standard one is their worst Godzilla by far. Even their 1994 and 1995 figures, which are extremely basic and lacking, at least more or less look like how Godzilla appeared in those movies.
