I've got a vader/boba ESB 40th on preorder. I'd like to get more dark side guys like Maul, Grievous, maybe Palatine, plus a few characters I enjoy from the light side. Just dont know who to order from, and the stores have such limited stock or the same peg warmers it's insulting. I have 4 figures, 1 TVC, 2 retro, and 1 ESB. All I lucked up on in store, although hoping Walmart does a decent reset here shortly

The best haul I ever got was the Mandalorian and the Second Sister at a Barnes & Noble (where I worked and set up the Rise of Skywalker display myself earlier that day).
I got Grievous for 35 dollars off amazon last year but I saw him going for like 60 or 70 the other day, I usually go with amazon over more niche sites, but I've gotten quite a few figures loose from ebay and they've worked out fine

The Paplatine with the throne is one of my favorites

Is it safe to store figures in ziploc bags?I have to pack all of my figures into storage for a few months and I put them all into snack size ziploc bags 3-4 per bag and put them in a box. But now I am reading online that the plastic used in the bags can potentially discolor the figures or paint. They are mostly TVC but also some older legacy/30th ann. collection and VOTC if that matters.

It's what I could do. The only thing I could see going wrong is if you stored them in a rum that was 100+ degrees all the time. And at that temp, the bags are the least of your problems. I have stored some figures in bags like that for years, put inside boxes

Ive done it and they were fine. I had to put mine in storage for about 7 months last year while I was between living situations. I wrapped each figure in few sheets of paper towel to protect from rubbing against eachother in the bag. Then put 5-6 figures in gallon sized ziploc bags with a bit of air in them to get them puffed up to act as airbags to cushion against the other bags. Layered carefully in a plastic storage bin. Stored about 100 black series and another 100 MLs this way. Bins were stored in an indoors but not climate controlled storage locker. Just unpacked everything after I moved into my new house at the start of the year and everything looks great. Good luck anon!

I would think heat would make more of a difference in the storing of your figs.

Wrapping them in paper towels is probably a good idea, I just had 3-4 of them loose per bag with a vent hole so that any shit given off by the decomposing plastic bag can escape instead of being forced against the figures, which some people recommended when I was searching various forums for storage info. I am now afraid that the bleached paper in paper towels might mess something up but it's probably better than having them touch each other which could mess with the paint. Thanks fren.

Yeah you’d probably be fine then. I was a little more cautious I guess because in the last move which was short and not far I just kinda had things loose in a box and it did scrape some figures. I thought it wouldnt be a big deal but I regretted it. I also wasnt sure how long my stuff would have been in storage for (3 months- 1 year? I didnt know at the time) if it was gonna go on a moving truck and possibly travel cross country etc. so I did what seemed to be the safest in my position.

GameStop basically only gets in the numbers that are pre-ordered. Any extras are randomly dispatched to stores without them knowing. That anon is pissed because it's very likely that store was only getting in the one Zeb and Hera that he ordered. It's never guaranteed that they will get more in to replace it.

They've done that shit to me with a collector's edition of a game by saying they notified me when my order came in, which was a lie, and because I didn't pick it up within the next 48 hours, they ended up selling it to someone else and never got anymore in to fulfill my order.

Give up on SW at retail. The brand is tainted and won't have the same presence for a few years in that department. It's best to just order them online from the various fan channels or Amazon if you want them cheap after a year.

Whoever makes the big calls behind Star Wars in general now sucks dick, and that goes for the merch they make as well. I'd definitely get that Ventress and Savage if they made them. Honestly I'm surprised it's taken so long to make them, but it took them like 7 years to make Dooku so I'm not surprised. I can only dream about more EU stuff. BS releases come slow and 90% of them are shit I'm not at all interested in. Guess Hasbro has to clog the shelves with ugly Finns, Reys and other ST gabage at all times. I hope the Nihilus rumors are true at least. He's pretty much the only other figure I might get since I only collect Sith stuff.

We'll see if he actually comes out then though, I have a feeling they won't get him in until closer till September. Worth noting that release dates are a crapshoot at BBTS. If you pre-ordered something for August release, don't be surprised if you keep checking the pre-order and see it changed to September, then October, etc. Apparently this happens because they never close pre-orders after their initial supply is claimed, so they basically rely on restocks to fulfill all their excess pre-orders.

I pre-ordered the TVC Mando from them for a May release, it's been pushed back to June, July, now it's expected August but I'm not holding my breath. TBS Beskar Mando is probably going to go through the same shit if you preorder from them.

Just but directly from them. I've never had a problem and the majority of my Black Series figures came from them. Also you can look for warehouse deals too. I got the 40th ANH Vader set for $15 because the package was damaged and someone returned it but the actual card and figure were 100% fine. Got a Second Sister for $12 when she was hard to get at retail price because her box had a small dent.

The Mando season 2 trailer is coming out tomorrow and in the next few days. Black series of Season 2 Din, and in additional live action old rex, ahsoka and Bo Katan are coming. Rex looks exceptional and has a poncho.

I never understood the super hype fans of star wars, but I also never understood those with irrational hate for starwars. At times it can get to be a little much with all the wacky merch sw has been on over the decades. I also don't hate the prequels or sequels. I can see where people are coming from, especially in the sequels how rey literally trips and stumbles perfectly into the things she needs to find for the plot to advance, and the fight choreography is atrocious, but I don't hate the idea of the over all story plot of the sequels. As for the prequels, I kinda wish George had the balls to go through with Darth Jar Jar, partly, because Dooku just appears out of thin air, but mostly because I think he could have pulled off the twist. I am the casual. I won't go out of my way to get sw merch, or collect large numbers of anything, but I will buy this or that when it catches my fancy, and I enjoy all the movies and tv shows perfectly well. I just can't understand why people take knights and wizards in space so seriously.
