These were made for actual children. They are meant to be durable. Mcfarlane literally has like 10 lines to choose from, and you choose this? Hasbro makes 5 poa too.

The only difference is for 2 star wars figures you could buy one of these.

The fact people even compare these to collectors toys, is proof todd did a good job designing a budget childrens line.

/toy/ only hates todd cause he won't scale with competitors. Like jeez... no import lines scale with each other but no one acts like its a big deal. Figma are terrible with scale, yet toy puts them on some kind of godly pedastool.

Also its been less than a month since these released. Maybe in a year he'll consider making a few collectors ones. It took over 30 years for star wars to get well articulated figures

Exactly. Nearly every import line struggles with completely fails with scaling. Even old 1/144 gundam kits struggle to be the correct size as newer kits.

Scale just isn't a thing, other than 1/6th. No line follows true 1/12th scale. Even Marvel legends are inconsistent. Deadpool has 3 completely different heights in marvel legends from the last 3-4 years.

The shark fin has 3-4 points of articulation. The mouth has a hinge and lots of toys can fit inside it. Its the best shark I own and I have a lot of sharks.

The monkey is good. The snake is a snake. The raptor falls over a lot. My three year old and I bith love them, Im not really sure what you were wanting from this. Buy the NECA godzilla and kong if you want cheap domestic collector figures.

Battlesnake is rubbery so it has all the articulation you could want from a snake, though it only holds its default pose. The slightly elongated jaw reminds me of Violator and his siblings, nice McFarlane touch.

Despite the obvious limitations I kind of like this line, all these original designs are exciting to me. As far as I know only Cy-Gor was an established character prior to this toyline.

I wonder if Canada will ever get them. I guess it'd have to be if Import Dragons decides to bring them over (or if McFarlane sells it to them? not exactly sure how distribution partners work). I'm curious to see what's next for McFarlane's generic lines, as he's mentioned some interesting ideas like soldier type figures with similar sizes to his mainline figures but at 10 dollars apiece. That kind of stuff could be good for custom fodder and for accessories, and also army building. And why stop at soldiers, generic knights, ninjas, and more could be really fun.

Also that sounds like it'll turn out nice, the top part of the the snake would make for a great topper for a throne. Even better if you get the Pulse exclusive one and paint the snake/throne to match.

I am a 90s kid, and I would've really gone for this. I had tons of static posed dinosaurs from various museum collections, so this wouldn't have been a dealbreaker for me. But now that I'm grown up and know the joy of full articulation, these don't grab me as easily.

I literally just got back from walmart and saw these for the first time in-hand. Really cool sculpts, not at all cool paint applications. If he had went balls to the wall with some cool/gritty paint jobs, these might have been more enticing. The shark mouth is really well engineered though, I will say. The Snake's fangs barely moved and the Raptor was only slightly better.
