Yeah they lied about everything after wave 1. However thats not the biggest issue. The biggest issue is the joints. Stuff like clicky joints ruined the entire franchise. Every other figure has qc joint issues.

Hasbro just needs to raise the price by 5 bucks and include figuarts/mafex style joints. There are pathetic.

Those two things are fairly simple fixes. I was just gonna tape off a bit around the chest triangle line and use nail polish remover to make it thicker. And the lining on the gauntlets can be done with a Gundam marker. It sucks having to do additional work on the figure but it's not the end of the world since the fix is simple enough.

It's not just the thinness of the line, the entire chest is painted wrong. The triangle needs to be wider and lower on the chest. Pic related is what it SHOULD look like. Also his helmet sculpt is off-model as are his gaultlets.

There's evidence Hasbro's Morpher was heavily influenced by the Legacy Morpher instead of the original 1993 release. So yes, it's inherently inaccurate because the Legacy was 20% bigger and had to fudge details to fit the front plates of the morpher.

It's not bad, I prefer the sounds and lights on the Lightning one over the Legacy, not to mention you get a neat display and shiny coins. I got the Legacy's back on gamestops huge clearance last year for like $20 each but the sounds suck and while diecast is nice it doesn't do much for me, especially when the normal one is this brushed metal look and the gold one is a very dull gold. For the price I still love them but Bandai should have focused their budget on other aspects imo.

I really want them to redo these very badly. The proportions were all wrong, they looked way too shrimpy. The show suits were thicc as fuck, they were bulky motherfuckers!

Sculpt these in the SHFSS style, with a proper body underneath so you can bulk it out realistically. I would pay a lot to make this happen.

Not the same person but it seems like the wings won't match up when you do that since the new wash isn't there like the body. You could probably try giving the wings a wash but that'll probably make it even more mismatched as it's one of those things that requires years of experience in paint.

I'm pretty hyped for this. The reviews I've seen say it's pretty good for a kid's toy, but being a toy is a big part of the reason I want it. A buddy of mine has the Soul of Chogokin Megazord and as impressive as it looks, it feels like it wants to break from just posing. My only complaints about this new Hasbro set are the T-Rex's tail being so hollow, and the lack of paint details, but I'm gonna grab a sticker sheet off a third party to fill those details in. Say what you will about customers shouldn't have to do that but I dig applying stickers, and given the property it feels appropriately 90s.

It's safe to assume they'll eventually do a LC Dino Megazord at some point. Now, whether or not it'll transform is up in the air the newly announced Zeo Megazord doesn't so it isn't looking good for that. But John Warden, former head of the Transformers division just took over PR so maybe there is hope.

Oh yeah, it's definitely an impressive toy, and adjusting for inflation it costs about the same as this new set, but they could never release that today for 50 bucks because the thing is that Bandai had already put in the money to have the thing made and when they released it under the Power Rangers banner they we able to charge less, plus Power Rangers was the biggest selling franchise that year unlike now where they can't guarantee sales.
On top of all of the Hasbro are cheap bastards who overprice their stuff because all the money they make gets funnelled upwards to the company heads rather than paying their staff or put the money into developing the products they produce.
But I'll still get it because I'd rather pay 50 bucks for something I can play around with on my desk than $350 for something that will get transformed once and stay on a shelf for the rest of it's life.

The lack of knees is what kills it for me. If it had them (and ankles, I already have the mini-pla but a bigger more solid action figure wouldn't hurt) I'd probably get it and repaint the thing. As is, it's like a big brick with elbows. Needs more playability if I'm going to buy into these.

There's the old one that's hard to find intact, fairly expensive, and has aged plastic.
There's the Legacy version which is alright except for Zordbuilder joints ruining the knees.
SoC is the Rolls Royce and costs about as much.
Super Minipla will cost you almost as much as a SoC, at about half the size, but similar articulation.
And the Lightning thing coming out.

Be careful with Green if you get them, his shield pops off like the original toy and I nearly lost the back half when opening it because it's so tiny. Judging by pictures I don't think there is, I think the peg that locks the Yellow and Blue Zords in place is a static piece. Depending on how handy you are though you could cut that section out, feed a thicker pin through, stick a couple washers either side and make a new knee joint. The trick would be stopping the knee bending forward in Megazord mode though. I wonder if someone will do a third party upgrade kit that replaces the legs. The thighs for the Megazord are a little taller than what is show accurate.

I know that the Putty outfits varied during the show, I'm guessing that this is because just like Stormtroopers, they were sort of thrown together and different "batches" looked different depending on what was on hand and who made them.

But still, the LC figures don't really reflect the Putties I'm most familiar with, which have darker grey (honestly kind of silvery/satiny looking) suits, noticeably paler faces than said suits, and most importantly, their gloves aren't nearly so dark. The gloves probably stand out the most to me, they just look out of place. These figures are probably accurate to SOME version of the Putties, it's just not mine and I wish it were.

Got alpha/zordon pack and Morpher today. Alpha is fun as hell. Zordon is a nice gimmick and brighter than expected, love the Morpher over the legacy (I have both) like the gimmick of recognizing the coins. And love the more vibrant gold compared to the legacy. Small nitpick, wish it played the them song too.

That’s my biggest issue with this. The price point. $20 for Drakkon himself, and $30 fucking dollars for a bunch of lightning effects, a base, a couple helmets, and a comic book cover? Fuck that. Give it to me straight bros. I’m looking to start collecting the lighting collection line, but I also recently started collecting the GI Joe classified line. I have no personal connection to Gi Joe, never seen the TV show, read a comic, nothing. But I like the designs.

I watched power rangers growing up. I remember the wild force dagger and how fun the show was. I also collect Kaiju so I love the big goofy fights. But how are the figures? Also, the MMPR figures are very expensive on the after market because of the late comers tax.

I can only collect/afford/have space for one line. Help me out bros, what do?

They're honestly mediocre toys if you're not into Power Rangers.

The Classified collection has more of a variety and its worth more of what you pay for. The Snake Eyes is pretty an incredible value compared to anything Lightning collection has released so far.

Well fuck them at this point, Amazon has it in stock in the UK and the price is the same, with $13 in shipping. After tax it's only $10 more than I'd pay on Pulse after tax and shipping so I'd rather go with them.

Do you realize the ridiculous sentence you just typed? I pre-ordered from GameStop and it never arrived, the figure is RELEASED NOW, I still put in another pre-order with BBTS and now that's been delayed another two months, dorksidetoys and EE are shipping it in October and November, for a RELEASED toy. I'd rather just pay the extra $6 or $7 and get it here this week.

I'm trying to see if legacy heads would fit on a lightning collection figure, it was easy to get the head off but the ball joint that goes into the socket will not budge at all. Has anyone had any luck getting these off?

Update on this, I managed to get the joint out of the socket on Legacy Zeo Blue. I had to widen the socket on Legacy Zeo Blue's head to get the socket on Lightning Collection Zeo Blue to fit it, but eventually it worked. Takes a bit of work, let me know your thoughts. I don't think it looks too bad, and if I can find a Legacy Dino Thunder White I might perform emergency surgery to have a proper helmet.

Left is original Lighting Collection, right is Legacy.

Heads up to anyone trying to fix DT White, make sure to use paint and not markers, I flubbed my attempt and smudged up thr helmet. Still looks better than without the black trim. Gonna visit a a Warhammer buddy to try and fix it later in the week
