>>8373638I love the thing, but I do think, like other anons on here, they phoned it in a bit with the tiers, satisfied that basic articulation and the size of the toy would be enough to attract people.
Honestly, they designed a two foot tall toy from scratch, using a variety of sources so extreme accuracy wouldn't be an issue, and it's a robot so visible joints wouldn't be an issue... bragged about using 260 individual pieces to build it... and then couldn't figure out how to do accessories / tiers that weren't heads or different toys? The articulation shown off thus far makes it look a bit like a re-sized marvel universe sentinel, except this one didn't need to be designed to be kid friendly since they're special order only at a price point that kids who still swallow things will likely not achieve.
The fact that the sentinel can't look all the way up to perform a vertical flying pose, or all the way down to look at the figures on the ground that it's towering over, is frustrating. The head is big enough on its own to house a little battery and wiring, they didn't have to sacrifice a neck joint for it.
I'm personally annoyed by the lack of a battle damage chest plate, which would have been a very easy thing to swap in and out at that size if they'd wanted to do it, and would sell the "combat" look more than a hand with fingers missing. How hard would magnetized forearm, shin, or chestplate covers have been?
>>8373642>Those aren't easy things to swap out on a figure like that.Except the time lapse clearly shows the chest plate is literally a single piece slapped over the smooth main chest housing that holds the led light. They could have used magnets or pins or screws instead of glue in those six holes and easily made the chest plate interchangeable. Japan figured it out for a six inch robocop, but Hasbro couldn't figure it out for a 26 inch robot?
