The other candidates are quite literally the most uninteresting characters in the whole franchise, Nepgear is literally made to be boring because her entire personality is "nice girl who occasionally masturbates over tech", and the twins' personalities are literally just generic kids. They are not fun characters to watch.

Honestly, and I could be wrong on this, but we'll probably see more Uni if we ever get an actual sequel to VII. Her whole side thing with Steamax was adorable and seemed pretty popular among the fans. Uni is a cutie and she's the only candidate worth anything, it'd be criminal not to bring her back.
