Welp, Fandome was kind of light on new reveals. Todd is seemingly intent on producing just Batman. Aside from the DC Gold label (a line of DC characters as designed by Todd) we will be getting the child's iteration of Fandome in september. We'll be getting more toy news then.

With Mafex doing a New Adventures Batman I really hope we can get an animated Harley figure from them or even a Batman Beyond Bruce. I just want something with better articulation than the DC collectibles line and their tiny breakable ankles. Also their Beyond 3 pack is ridiculously expensive now.

I thought I'd be salty about all of it being just batman stuff, but having nearly completed sets of a batman line within the span of a few months is kind of nice. You drop a couple hundred and you have the entire matching collection.
No waiting years to just be disappointed (Gambit).

It's probably the best figure they've released. Big chunky plastic with a bunch of nicely sculpted details, clean paint job throughout and surprisingly good articulation (every hooded character should copy this figure's engineering). The sword and flame effect are also pretty cool.

I actually like having a bunch of different versions and art styles from some select characters, so I'm ok with the Batman avalanche. Hoping we get a few more Supes, though. Kal needs more love and there are a bunch of cool designs to use.

I think the two CG characters - King Shark and weasel are safe. They tend to be fan favorites. Especially King Shark, I can see him being like Korg from Ragnarok. I agree with your other picks though and add TDK

Good point, Im actually really happy with the DKM figures despite how messy the story itself is. Still, I really want to see some non a-listers in the line. People can shit talk Mattel until the cows come home, but atleast classics covered every corner of the DC universe. Or atleast the very major parts of it.

Mattel's classic line was mostly built around repainting and redressing the same body over and over again. McFarlane is too autistic for that, so I doubt we get a bunch of D-listers, unless Todd thinks they're cool looking D-listers.

Apparently it can fit 6-7in figures without much issue. I've been looking online for it to see what the MSRP is for it but I can't find it anywhere other than ebay for $90. If this thing retails for $40-$50 I'd be all about it.

2 things, he often seems to miss details like that (like Red Deaths's toe joint pointing up in that group shot) and it could also be that he's working with resin prototypes sometimes or less (like the Gold Label Batman or Flashpoint Batman) so I'd give him some leniency for that. I think he also once said he kind of rushes through them, which is unfortunate. It's often just 1 turnaround then 1 or 2 posed shots, so putting a bit of extra care into it wouldn't be the end of the world.

I guess it depends how they portray him, but he's pretty damn ugly looking that I doubt normies would be attracted to a non stylized figure (I can picture them liking some cutesy Pop of Weasel though). Unless Todd wants a go at flexing fur sculpt I think he'd skip him in favour of some of the more prolific actors and characters from the movie. I think, anyways, unless he just skips them all and makes a one-off Harley. Maybe it's just me but Cena feels like a must.

King Shark for sure, Todd loves his chunky plastic. I could see him being single packed, but making him a BaF would also free up more slots for those actors, as well as give him a bit of extra size (seems like he'd be about 10ft, a bit more if he raises his head).

Oh ya, it's way wonky. It'd be nice to blame the development cycle, in that they got an early design and thus it doesn't really look quite like the final product, but like you said the proportions are off, and things don't quite line up the way they should, especially in the hips area. I think the comic stuff McF is doing is improving by good margins since the first wave, so hopefully the same is true for their live action figures when those come out (Arrow was also real wonky).

When Bruce first comes out of retirement to fight Harvey Dent, he wears and damages the first blue/yellow oval Batsuit. He wears another identical suit for his first showdown with the Mutants, but it was also damaged there, so he wears the blue suit with the new style batsymbol for his rematch with the Mutant Leader. After he tears that one up there, he moves on to the black cape version of that suit to take down the Joker. Then finally he fights Supes with his power armor.

This certainly looks like the A-team in comparison to the C-team here >>8387924, but mostly because of Bloodsport and Peacemaker (and Harley and King Shark). I doubt it'll be as simple as both sides come out unscathed though. Also Shark is way shorter than I thought (based on that part of the trailer where it looks like he's about to eat someone, he seems a whole lot bigger, I guess he is when he puts his snout up like a real shark? also who'd have thunk that the stocky/chubby KS would become the standard one). I mostly agree about the design, but I do think that when they work on a design specifically based on a series, or comic, or what have you, like the White Knight and like the Teen Titans, that sticking to that specific style helps give it its identity. Unlike Marvel Legends which has live action and comic, DC Multiverse gets to be everything/whatever, and it isn't forced to be any single style. Like you're implying, this is both a strength and a weakness, but I think it's a good thing for the most part.

That said, I do hope that energy blast on Cyborg is just an effect piece that can be removed, it'd be unfortunate if the cannon had to be shooting. The sculpt does look like it could fit either hand, which is good, as I'd rather replace the gripping hand than the fist, even if he used his right arm more.

You know, I commend Todd for not giving into repaint faggotry. However, this is one instance where I genuinely wouldn't mind getting a few repaints of a figure. This Cyborg might just be the best figure the character has ever gotten hands down. And moreover, Cyborg had a handful of different looks in the show that could make for great repaints. Hey, how are these quality wise? I know they're not the most articulated but are they low QC/break easily? I heard somewhere that Superman gets sticky, like plasticizer leakage or something. They're coming up on almost 20 years old so if you buy them new in their original packaging there's a chance they'll be leaking plasticizer. None of my set ever broke but old DCD stuff was always a little more fragile than usual. They re-released the set a few years ago in different colors so you might be better off buying it instead.

Etrigan has to be coming at some point. He's been talked about a lot, but not by Todd, but I still think he'll make his way in at some point. Doctor Fate is a shoe in, as he's one of the character Todd mentions non stop. I'll bet he's one of the "B and C List" characters that were mentioned for 2021.
