So years back I had an eBay store and PayPal for business purposes. I don't have a PayPal for personal stuff because fuck them.
Well one day I go to order the MakeToys G2 Starscream for myself. The credit card part of their site just plain doesn't work. It's spitting out something like "oops, something being happening." The cards are fine, they just won't take them. The only other option is PayPal and, this being a hot exclusive, I decide to go that route for the time being.
Well, somehow, they managed to get an account I set up with my personal e-mail/physical address comingled with the business. They sent the order confirmation to my business e-mail, but it has my personal details, but my TCP account shows a mix of the two. Complete clusterfuck.
I politely asked if they could fix my order. I explained the situation, that it wouldn't take my CC and I was trying to avoid having this on a business PayPal account. I never hear anything back from them.
So a few months later, they get a restock of FT Skyfire/Phoenix. This was before the psychotic rush on FT stuff. I go to put an order in and the credit card part is still broken. Remembering last time, I reach out again. I tell them their site's still not taking cards and ask if I can place an order over the phone or something so PayPal can't fuck it up again.
No response, again. Try again, telling them other people are having the same problem. No response, again. By this time the figure has sold out and I just want to close my account. So I e-mail again asking to have the account closed. As of today I think it's still open.
I really don't know how people can praise TCP and shit on BBTS. The difference is like night and day. I've had a handful of issues with BBTS in 17 years and all but the most recent one (that's fucking baffling) has been handled immediately by some of the nicest CS reps I've ever dealt with. TCP seemed like it didn't even want my business.
