How do you guys go about storing your action figure boxes and toy packaging? Do you throw it away or do you store it somewhere? Pic related and running out of room for my Marvel Legends boxes. I don't really want to throw them away cause they're convenient for storing and I like the artwork on the sides. Any suggestions?

Yeah I used to keep all my boxes too but it eventually became a problem, nowadays I don't keep them unless:

I toss all my boxart unless its from convention sets, Or rare exclusives. If I can I use the convention sets as backgrounds for the figures

I generally keep boxes for expensive purchases and imports in case I get bored and flip it down the line. Not for value though, just think it looks neater when you get something in its original packaging even if used as I prefer it this way when I buy stuff too. The boxes from cheaper lines usually get trashed the second I have my figure out of them.

It’s a huge waste of space and a fire hazard to have tons of cardboard, it’s also not good for the lifespan of plastic to be sealed up in packaging either. Yeah it can seriously kill the resale value of imports but I don’t buy toys with the intent of reselling them so whatever.

I do this. Pretty much any domestic toy box goes. I've kept the Power Rangers Lightning Collection boxes because I like the art but frankly I don't have enough space for them and really should just toss them. I keep pretty much all import boxes though.

People will tell you you won't get jack shit without boxes, but that's false. people will still pay at least retail for in-demand items even without the box. Obviously you won't get the highest price possible but unless its an obviously obsolete figure with a better version out there, you won't take a major loss. Besides, if you want to make money, there's better avenues out there.

You can store MLs in a bin with their weapons and option parts in a bits box. They're sturdy enough that they won't break regardless of what you do, so you really don't need them for storage. The only boxes worth keeping are boxes for things that are fragile and won't stay in one piece during transport and storage.

You can use tackle boxes and those clear plastic sewing kit organizers. They're very cheap and can stack well.

I've bought various types, including ammo cans and using inserts like pic. So i can fit the action figures either under or over the organizer (or using another organizer) keeping everything in one place.
Smaller boxes like this actually makes it easier to store stuff, btw, since theyll fit almost anywhere. You might end up buying a lot though, since they're so small.

I only keep boxes with great artwork, which is rare. I don't plan on selling any of my figures since I only buy stuff I really enjoy.

The boxes I do keep I have as a backdrop for the figure on the artwork.

I've been keeping my boxes since I started collecting Doctor Who in 2006 and now it's just so cluttered in the attic I'm thinking of chucking all those away.
I was under the impression that if I kept the boxes, that it would keep their value if I ever decided to sell.
Now I'm thinking, what's the point? I don't intend to sell.
Might have a look this weekend hold onto nice boxes and throw away anything that just isn't worth keeping.
