not from amazon, but I'm a loose collector and I buy from ebay sellers all the time, damage the box, then take photos and say it got damaged in shipping (which they're accountable for). then I act like a MISB collector and they have to partially refund me so i get a discount on a figure that's still 100% for how i intend to use it

sometimes very rarely they insist on a return which is fine with me, i just do it again to another seller and i dont pay the fees

Recently i bought a figuart for like 40 bucks for a birthday present and the package was set to arrive the day before the birthday on the 11th so i thought the stars had aligned, but when it shipped it had said it was arriving on the 8th which was weird cuz i thought it would take longer. It never got here so i thought they messed up and complained but they have that 48 hour rule so i waited another day and it didn't show up and complained again and asked for a replacement. But now I'm wondering if it was a glitch and it really will show up the 11th and if I asked for a replacement for no reason

I kept one one time but to be fair they delivered it to the wrong house and sent me a photo of some strangers porch so I filed for refund immediately. I had no way of knowing the nice old guy who lived there would bring it to my house himself so I don't think getting a refund was unjustified.

Yeah. I got sent a bootleg once and Amazon just refunded me and told me to keep the item. They didn't even want to deal with it. Similar experience happened with Hasbro Pulse. I ordered Siege Ironhide from them but the sent me Chromia instead. Contacted support and provided some pics and they reordered me Ironhide. I offered to ship Chromia back to them but the rep told me to just keep it as an apology for the inconvenience. Was pretty dope of them.

I've had Amazon deliver something, but not mark it down as delivered, so after a few days they just automatically sent me a refund. That's happened twice I think, once was for a friend's birthday present which was nice, because I used the money to get him some other bits too.

I kept an item and a refund once. But it was because the seller advertised one figure from a wave to attract buyers and then actually sent the shelfwarmers. When I reported what I recieved as the wrong item, amazon let me keep it. I'll probably dump it down the line for half price since I didn't want it.
