I hate people like you. I've been into JoJo since the 90's back when you could go to an anime convention and ask for JJBA merch and people in the dealer's rooms would look at you with blank stares. I've been collecting SAS since 2009, I have them ALL (including Clear the World and Clear KQ) except for all of the Swarovskis and even I know being a gatekeeper for fucking anime and action figures is stupid.

Maybe OP didn't know they got rereleased and saw the crazy ebay prices on them. Maybe they're looking at the alt colors which have only exponentially grown in price. We're in a fucking golden age of JoJo thanks to the anime and its popularity amongst anime-onlys where the series actually gets merchandise. If anything you should be appreciative of these normies.

Even without normie fans some of them are still expensive, such as the SBR and JJL ones. Got my pre-order in for Diego and he’s $74 not including shipping which is gonna run me $20 if I’m forced to use DHL. The paradox is that once SBR is animated they’ll produce more SBR figures and they’ll be more readily available, but because there will be more fans the demand and thus price will be higher.

Got WF Gold Experience for like £35 ($40-ish) back when Part 4 was airing, WF King Crimson for maybe £56, only ones I ever paid "rape prices" for where Baldy's KQ 3rd when he sold his collection and WF Giorno who was like my 3rd or 4th figure when I started collecting, I remember seeing Trish for £19 maybe like half a year before part 5 got announced. These days the cheapest figure I can find is Avdol for like £50, even the knockoffs are getting listed for £70 but maybe that's just britbong Amazon being stupid.

I had just assumed the second printing of the SBR guys was so much because it's a niche portion of the fanbase and it's the first non-exclusive printing of them. I had Killer Queen, Stone Free and Star Platinum once. I was moving house and was really low on money so I had no choice but to sell these.

Plebs who want SHF or Figmas of Jojo are boring as fuck, those lines have no soul at all. The SAS figures with their sculpts and shaded paint feel so unique in this modern collectors world, they feel almost like old hand sculpted figures but with the benefit of more modern articulation. Would't trade them for some fucking bland anime based figures.
