The latest gen of Pokémon is by far the shittiest. It was the first time I hated every starter. Corviknight was the only mon I liked but even he’s just kind of a fused Skarmory/Murkrow. They are definetly running out of ideas/good designs.

-I bet Pikachu fits into Cramorant's mouth. That's a cool touch if so.

-I wish Morpeko's hangry form had his arms posed differently. I thought there were saving costs by repainting the same mold but they are in fact different sculpts since the eyes and mouth are sculpted into each. I'd rather have his little arms raised to make him look a bit more different.

-I also wish Toxitricity's electric mohawks were translucent plastic instead of opaque plastic. I know it looks pretty close to that in the game but I still think it looks dumb if its supposed to be electricity.

Even from the grainy picture I can tell Espeon and Umbreon are sculpted better than the articulated TOMY ones. Those had heads that were too round and sat too low on their necks.

Sad that the only Arcanine and Pangoro figures we may get any time soon are going to be criminally undersized :(

Both look good but it's a shame they're so under-scaled for 1:12. And the even say 'scaled for battle'....

Arcanine looks like it'll stand about 3.5" tall to the top of the head based on the package shot

They're neither 1/12 or 1/18... why are you guys bringing up scales? (This is why people get annoyed with 1/12 people btw, everything somehow becomes "it isn't 1/12", or "it should be 1/12") They're meant to scale with each other, that's it.

I do agree that Tomy was really starting to hit its stride and was doing some good stuff.

Correct, they've never explicitly stated what scale their figures are supposed to be, but most of the 4.5" Battle Feature figures are out of scale with the rest of their lines. The 2"/3" multi packs are pretty much in scale with their 12" figures like Gyarados and Venusaur. It's the 4.5" ones that stick out are aren't in scale with their own stuff even.

I'm not sure why you'd read this as just the 4.5" figures when it was evidently meant as the WCT line as a whole.
Scale is an iffy thing in Pokemon, there doesn't seem to be a consistency to what "height" refers to, could be wingspan, or head to tail, etc. But hey, TPCI is directly involved, so they must be ok with it.

they still dont scale with each other, ash is not meant to be taller than charizard , blastoise and most of the pokemon in the line, the scale is all over the place, the pokemon home show the right scale for each pokemon its not that hard to check, also even with all the inconsistencies these figures still do not scale with each other

Let's be real, they're meeting a price point and making a toy accordingly. Some figures scale with each other and others don't. That's pretty much all there is to it. Those Pokemon that should be in between the 4.5" and the 12" are the ones that will suffer most, but I guess they didn't want an additional sku in there.

I have several hundreds of Pokemon figures & plush I've collected over the years, and I aimed to have one figurine of each Pokemon.

My obsessive perfectionist tendencies won't let me enjoy my collection unless my 'plastic Pokedex' is complete, but this increasingly passionless cash cow franchise keeps moving the goal post faster than I can keep up.

It's so weird how some moncolle just look fantastic, and then you have the Urshifu down there.

Excited for Dragapult, and Ponyta though. Might get Calyrex if it looks any better on release. I like when figures have translucent bits. If Urshifu isn't that bad on release I'll go for them since it's both together. I hate that Dark is some how tolerable and Water just looks worse somehow.

Get WCT Venusaur now while it's still $20 on Amazon. You'll regret it later if you don't. It's the best Venusaur figure in 20 years. WCT Blastoise is undersized but not bad.

Pretty good, not great. Probably the best we'll ever have though. It's roughly 1:12 scale and has minimal articulation but it's Dragonite.
