Why does Dune need a general? The last one was barely filled with talk about the handful of toys that are coming out. Posts were mostly about the movie itself. Shouldn’t talk just be relegated to the McFarlane general?

I took some time since I read Dune but wasn't the baron flying made up by Lynch? I know the Harkonnen troops have that landing gravity gimmick seen in the trailer.

He has a suspensor device because of the disease and obesity in the books.

It makes him nimble enough to escape Leto's assassination hail mary when he mistakes pietr for the baron in his dying state. I can't remember him flying with it, been years since I read. But there's a few more scenes where the floating is involved.

I don't know why they would go through all the effort to make a new film if they're going to stick so closely to the Lynch costume design. Not many people are nostalgic for it and the designs weren't necessarily iconic, if anything they were pretty bland.
