>>8488745Welcome to the club, newfriend. As a mostly newer fan myself I have a few tips for you.
1. Always be on time for new drops. Things can disappear within minutes.
2. Look for "combinations" in each new drop. Are there parts to make Miniborgs, Phase Defenders, Demi-Varteryx, etc...?
3. Buy a few extra figures or parts you don't need. You may need them down the road as trade fodder or the colorway might be revisited again later and you'll already have parts ready to use.
4. Don't try to be a completionist. It's a painful goal. Find a colorway you like and collect it.
5. Building a collection takes time. Glyos has tons to offer but playing catch-up is a real bitch. Buy a few figures on eBay in between drops and over time you'll have an awesome collection.
6. Make Glyos friends. This one is important when going after older stuff. People thin down their collections all the time and often go out of their way to help people build their own with special deals or even just giving you a heads up on other people selling stuff too.
7. IF YOU SEE SOMETHING YOU LIKE AT AUCTION, BUY IT. Do not wait. Do not hem and haw over it. If it's there, buy it. Some figures are exceedingly hard to find because everyone loves them. If you have even a slight chance of getting one then GO FOR IT because the opportunity may never come around again!
8. Roboforce kits are excellent starter figures for new collectors or for getting friends interested in Glyos. 2 of them allow for loads of creative builds.
