Also they mixed up the batch of abaranger swords because the abaranger lightning collection is way too light. They truly are the worst toy company in existence.

Bandai would get slaughtered for missing paint. Habsro does the same and its the "just paint it" excuse.

Yeah, remember how we gave them flak for the Legacy Collection MMPR figures silver belts? I feel like Hasbro gets a pass from most of the users on this board for whatever reason, but it's pretty clear that certain teams will put more effort into their product than others. Just look at the difference between the quality of GI Joe's and the Lightning Collection.

I wish Hasbro would make LC versions of the classic triangle box rangers, but make it a two pack, with another triangle box attached on the side and folded back to back of the human version of the ranger, and like figuarts, they'd have a two arms holding the opened morpher accessory you could attach to the shoulders, exclusive to the set, then do SDCC version of the idea with Bulk and Skull in the same 1993 style packaging

Has there been any details as to how the Hasbro buyout even happened? I remember reading something about Goldner and Saban being buddy-buddy with each other, which made me think that Bandai got fucked over somehow. My speculation is maybe behind the scenes Hasbro and Saban planned the buyout ahead of time, so Saban either priced Bandai out of renewing the license or straight up refused to renew it, then let Hasbro buy the license with a contract written beforehand that included the option to buy the property outright. No idea if any of that is true.

All we have to go on is little tidbits from other people. From what I can piece together, mostly from Tokunation tweets and 1 YouTube interview, is that the rumors of a sale were spreading in the industry as far back as summer 2017. Supposedly Bandai was offered a full buyout of the brand before Saban shopped it around, but they turned it down. The final time the Bandai account tweeted about PR was around NYCC 2017 so it's safe to assume negotiations were wrapping up that Fall. Jason Bischoff also mentioned Beast Morphers was pitched and greenlit right before Hasbro entered the picture which means the bidding period had to be around the spring since that's when preproduction for PR usually starts.

The Green Ranger Figure they showed off doesn't have they White Diamond pattern on it's chest that is supposed to be there.

Someone asked if this was going to be the final design or if it was some kind of prototype without a complete paint job.

They kinda just danced around the question before making a non-committal "I've seen photos with different paint jobs so maybe but I can't confirm anything at this time."

It's kinda an awkward subject because them leaving off the white design elements on past figures has been a big sticking point for a lot of people (It's a major design element of the costumes, and the only real reason they seem to not be including them is because they'll be partially obscured by another part).

No one has any idea what LGY is. RAD Neptune isn't Green as the code for Green is Mercury. The figure is probably SPD Pink or Yellow, though could potentially also be Kat Ranger. ZTH Mercury should be Zeo Green. Zeo Putty ended up being Z Putty, but that doesn't change the fact that ZTH was coded as Zeo. Possible whoever coded them thought Z stood for Zeo.

RAD Mercury should be SPD Green, and ZTH Tanga (not Tenga as listed there) should be another Zeo Figure. Could be Pink or Yellow, but I'm thinking a villain since Tanga isn't a planet.

I've talked about this before, but various elements contribute to the memorability of a monster.

One of those could be all it takes to be memorable. Pumpkin Rapper 1.) Appeared in multiple episodes, 2.) Was in "Lord Zedd's Monster Heads" VHS tape and is even on the box, 3.) one of the more absurd designs/concepts for a monster. King Sphinx on the other hand only appeared in one episode, and wasn't even very memorable in that episode. He wasn't featured on any VHS tape or video game. The only thing he had going for him was having been one of the original 4 Evil Space Alien figures, and being featured on a lot of miscellaneous merchandise.

I received this today but the paint on all 3 was bad so gonna send it back. It's really getting exhausting buying figures from Hasbro as paint was never something I had to think about with Bandai, and it's now a constant concern/problem.

I was referring to bad paint, but the missing paint is even more annoying as I feel like I have to inspect 10 figures to find one decent one. My pink has a really noticeable blemish on her chest. A big spot where the paint is gone, don't know if it got scraped away somehow int he factory or what, but it's really annoying. The diamonds on Red's gauntlets are all misaligned, and Blue's chest symbol is messed up. Really annoying that in a 3 pack not one figure was passable.

i feel like after wave 1 the QC got really bad, not saying it was great with wave 1, but it didnt feel anywhere near as bad as wave 2+. maybe its just me though, but all my wave 1 figures are perfect, all the other ones have some kind of paint mistakes.

Ehh, I feel like this doesn't really count. I mean, yes, it's true, but that was a clip show episode with a lot of monsters in it. It wasn't even footage from his original episode.

I think this is probably the main reason behind his surge in popularity. "A rapping jack o' lantern?! lol wtf!"

He has an amazing design, though. He could've easily been a main villain based on the caliber of his design alone.

He was in the Game Boy and Game Gear games, but yeah, it is bizarre that he wasn't a boss in any of the console sidescrollers or a character in Fighting Edition or the Genesis fighter.

I agree with you on the MMPR helmet and the PRDT belt, but the MMPR Lightning belt looks superior to me and there doesn't really seem to be too much of a difference between the PRDT guns, which both have really inaccurate colors.

I dunno. Once you have the figure on display on a shelf somewhere, or if you do some fancy toy photography with it, you're more likely to see the accurate paint than you are the depth to the Coin.

It's not the depth of the coin, it's the entire Morpher. I have both in hand and I was shocked at how much better the belt on the basic figure looks. I can always add the missing paint to that version myself if it bothers me, but I can't make the LC not flat, so basic wins in a landslide for me.

The proportions are so wonky on these, which I get, because they have to fit the mechanism in somewhere, but I think they may have been better served by making the figures just a little bit bigger overall so that they could make the arms and legs better suit to the body.

I think the problem is they keep sculpting thing digitally and taking it from there. The Ghostbusters figures they put out only barely look like the actors, but looking at the digital renders on the packaging and the likenesses are near perfect. What looks good on a computer screen doesn't always translate into a physical item. They should really be doing test printings before going ahead or having a dedicated sculpting team (even if it's just two people) who handle physically sculpting just the heads.

It's just a re-release overall as we're getting the original box from wave 1 as well. This new box is target exclusive along with the other wave 7 figures getting alt box art. Think like that carbonized thing SW black series did a while back only it's the box not the figure too.

I'm only okay with it because she has removable armor, the boomerang, and even a removable necklace. I expected her to just have the staff and one alternate head, and for there to be a future armored variation that maybe comes with the boomerang. So while it's disappointing there's no alternate heads, she's fully decked out otherwise.

From the artwork Astronema has the clips in her hair from the episodes mentioned, blue hair. The model looks more of a purple hue like the reference pic. Which of course is the 2nd image that pops up on google under Astronema. It's from the first episode with purple hair/no clips.
Hopefully the final product will be corrected correct it.

Single release Astronema should come with purple hair. Then expect a Hasbro Pulse exclusive Cyber Astronema with the extra heads. You still need the bodies from the first two releases to display the alt heads at the same time.

For sure. I’d like the cyber astronema with the red hair, but it’ll probably be the white one. Cyber astronema will get her own release afterwards. This two pack hopefully sells well, since In Space is one of the only seasons where the villains can be milked over and over, like Ecliptor, Psychos, and Astronema.
