Wrong. There is an ironic love for Jar Jar because he was a stand out character with a notable design who was hated to the point of parody in a trilogy that, despite wide criticism, still had enough likeable aspects to keep people invested and still managed to dominate pop culture of the time. The sequels range from bland to outright terrible, have little redeeming factors for people to latch on to, are stuffed with boring poorly-written characters who's "progressive" points made them controversial rather than unanimously mocked, and were released in a time in pop culture landscape that is heavily overshadowed by Marvel. They might, but I think Marvel is to kids today what Star Wars was to us. Prequel era only had to compete with Raimi Spider-Man as far as far as huge tentpole kids movies go. I'm sure there's lots of kids who do like the Star Wars now, but it's probably a much smaller amount of kids than kids in the late 90s and 2000s, which itself was a smaller number than 70s and 80s kids who liked Star Wars.

Either way, I think Jar Jar has sort of transcended his status as a hated character. He became THE character who was hated by fans and now any parody of such a character will almost always be a parody of Jar Jar specifically. Like the overwhelming hate for him kind of ended up being endearing because at a certain point you can only sit back and laugh. And nobody tried to force you to like him. Writers just kind of accepted the general public opinion of him and worked with it. He's an icon now and arguably one of the most famous characters in Star Wars.

Let me also add that it's a pain the ass to cancel an order from Hasbro Pulse. You have to send them an e-mail during certain hours of the day and wait for them to respond. The idea is you get all excited and order the more expensive sets without realizing there is cheaper ways of getting them.

I collect exclusively in 6 inch.
I find 3.75 inch simply has inferior articulation and worse faces when faces are visible. That's the main reason I don't give that scale the time of day.

If you’re getting into it now then 6” even though I prefer 3.75”. 6” is the line they put the most effort into. Hasbro puts minimal effort into 3.75” now and even though there’s decades of great figures released in that scale, all the best ones cost a fuck ton on the aftermarket.

1/12 is dumb as fuck. Crap molds as of late and the only good figures are scalped to hell. 1/18 are way cuter and look better on a shelf/desk since they are so small. 1/12 look like giant bulky dolls. Naturally you will have better articulation and detail on larger scale figures but I think that the amount of detail they can get into a 1/18 scale figure is extremely impressive and looks better in comparison.

they only started doing that in the past five years and since then it's gotten neglected as fuck
if they were still doing comic packs and shit, I'd see your point, but as it stands you're getting like 2/3s of the stuff the black series is getting and don't pretend TVC doesn't get scalped just as much

It’s hard to accept cause 3.75” Star Wars was and always will be my favorite action figure line, but it’s a line that’s as good as dead. You get maybe 10 brand new figures in a good year. So far this year all I’ve gotten is The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, and a Gonk Droid. I don’t mind Black Series, I’ve gotten like 4 of them this year with 5 more currently on pre-order. It’s just Black Series doesn’t have the same charm 3.75” has for me. It just feels like every other action figure line that’s out right now with a Star Wars coat of paint.
