Thanks, I think it was worth paying a little extra for. I would love for Bandai to put out more of these, or maybe re-release the Mini Battle-G line that most of these come from.

I'm not sure but I believe we didn't even get the whole set. I've seen other mini figs grouped with these ones in Japanese sales. But stuff like this is hard to track down and log.

Yeah, there was a line called Mini Battle-G that Bandai started releasing in 2004 after Final Wars. The Zilla custom in OP is from this line.

So where do you guys go to find out about new Godzilla merch? I collect most things. Figures, keychains, blind boxes etc etc. But a lot of stuff I only find out exists if I happen to see it in the stores.

Can't reccomend it unless it's an absolute steal. You're basically paying for a statue that can move the heads and necks. In fact, you could probably buy an even nicer statue for the same price.

I'm leaning towards fine. I would be annoyed if I had paid over $200. It's an impressive shelf piece but you can't really play with it. It was a bitch to assemble and doesn't really like being moved. I had the ball joints popping out when trying to pose it. And the paint job on the body wasn't as good as the wings. But the overall sculpt is fine and he goes nicely with the other SHM.

Yeah, he's cool if you don't mind revo joints.
I had to disassemble his legs and reposition the joints just to give him this stance, so posing him is awkward but that's to be expected with a bulky skirt wearing character with revo joints.

I wish another company would do an articulated Daimajin though, I usually don't fuck with revoltech but they're the only ones to do an articulated Daimajin

also I honestly think they have a grudge against the American version of Godzilla (probably why we still don't have a Kong or Skullcrawlers)

I really like him as I really liked KG 2019 in the film and his design overall, but mind you that I bought him more as a display piece than something I can actively pose and fiddle with. Maybe just repose his necks once in a while and be satisfied with him looking cool. I buy animu statues so I don't really mind having something that'll be untouched most of the time.

I also got him really cheap, so there's that. If he's cheap, I'd go for it because you can easily just sell him off afterwards on eGay for a lot of money and probably break even

Managed to snag a NECA Kong off Mercari for $35 with free shipping. $10 over MSRP but it was the best deal I could find. All the Targets in my area have been totally wiped.

I don't entirely believe either of you, I'm still skeptical that the Ghidorah bootleg proves they're doing him, and re-releasing all the Heisei figures just feels like a lot for a line that moves this slow.
No US announcements kinda makes sense though, it might still be too far out from the movie's release, and no Skullcrawler is to be expected, I still don't think Bandai thinks the demand for one is there, and they're probably right, at least for their domestic Japanese market.

I always thought he had an exposed gut cavity, possibly a carryover from the glowing visible organ thing on Biollante. That would explain why SpaceGodzilla focused so much on ranged attacks and projected energy-shields, if his body was incomplete and vulnerable. Goji could have just put his hand in the hole to pull out his entrails.
But that's just theorizing on my part, I have no idea what the designer was thinking and the movie suggests that his shoulder crystals are his actual weak points.

Nah. The effects should be around $25-30

DHL Express is weird as not only do the charge by weight but also tack on additional for size tiers for packages.

Example, Awakening shin costs $80 DHL in shipping from Mandrake because it's short and rectangular.

MKG and KG 91 because they're square and tall, $200 shipping DHL. Even though both weight between shin and KG packages are nearly the same.

I got the reissue today. Right arm pops off super easily. Eyes are derpy still. Not as extreme as some of the previous 2002s I saw, but its what I've come to expect from this line. I dunno how they fuck up digital printing though, I thought the entire point of it was to make it standardized.

The visuals are great in all the movies, the soundtrack is amazing in KotM, but the stories are just so fucking uninteresting. Agreed, but I think they're trying to keep it normalfag-friendly. I don't think that's a winning strategy, because something like Godzilla is inherently outlandish, but I understand the desire to keep it palatable to general audiences. What really strikes me as odd is that the Legendary movies are terrible at being toy commercials. They're getting to be like the Bayformers movies with the eye-raping CGI overload that's impossible for the human brain to process. The audience is left with no sense of wonder or emotional attachment to the monsters, because they can't even tell what's going on half the time.

Toho did it with the Heisei movies starting in 1989 by shrinking Goji's head and making his chest broader. I still think Legendary's design takes it a bit too far, though. His head is going to be much smaller in relation to his body than King Kong.

I want to get the figuarts Ultra Kaiju but they're so expensive, I've settled for the Vinyls for the most part. Why can't they make an affordable and lightly articulated ultra kaiju line.

I actually already bought mine during the preorder period. My only critique of it is that it feels squishy compared to the other three G2019 SHMA. It's hard to describe. I guess it's the translucent blue plastic they used for this version.

Everyone knows this is an event exclusive. Obviously to be made available at events such as SDCC and NYCC.
