They're both bad, Arcee's legs could have a excuse in that it would not be structably stable since they still have to pass tests for kids, and with RED's plastic it would warp to hell and back.

I would buy something like this. take G1 toys, keep the chrome and metal, fix the proportions a little. There's JP fanart of Optimus in a really toy style that's even better, just can't find it. I just really love how the diaclone stuff felt like real vehicle models.

if they made it all Beast Wars the geewunners would scream bloody murder. Before Warpath was shown they were already seething about how the brand was dead and how they were going to quit collecting. That's probably why Cyclonus had to be moved out of SS: to prevent there from being too many Beast Wars toys in the Beast Wars line.

Kingdom is easily the most excited I've been for a TF line since, like, at least T30.

This is actually why I wasn't that excited for Kingdom until I saw they were cutting deeper, actually. We already got a lot of Season 1 Optimus and Megatrons, and the Generations rhinox, rattrap, and waspinators were good, plus the MP line and all covered a lot of the same ground from the first reveals. But doing it all as a cohesive line at a good price is becoming appealing.

Universe 1.0 was great since they actually tried to make new versions of characters and go with the "expanded universe" thing instead of just trying to rehash G1 over and over and over again like CHUG has been for the last decade and a half

I wasn't even much of a Beast-fag growing up (Although it aired while I was a wee lad it aired while I was still at school so I grew up on rented G1 Season 1 VHS tapes) but they all look great. Vertebreak not so much though. Warpath is alright but I still have the Universe 2.0 and like the way he looks a bit more.

Yeah, I actually suspect the Dinobot tooling began life as a Grimlock update before BW got finalized as being new characters besides Optimus and Megatron. Also the only dinosaur Preds on the US line were just Megatron and arguably Terrosaur(due to popular perception, not science.) The US line did surprisingly few dinosaurs. Sot hem being Predacons wasn't a recurring theme, just a two-off. Aquatic animals were similarly unclear early on as the McDonalds line makes Manta ray a Pred.

When I was a BW fan, I mostly dropped out when they started the Fuzors and Transmetals because it had lost the "in disguise" aspect. Almost everybody skipped Beast Machines despite having some great figures. Universe 1.0 was a godsend for lapsed collectors that Armada was bringing back, and for collectors looking for something fun and crazy that wasn't Armada bricks.

Megatron's backpack looks a little better in the more recent photo. It seems like those thigh pieces from the dinosaur are meant to fold up somehow. That at least addressed my biggest concern.

Only one Fossilizer was cut. The second Core class. There are only six Core: Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave for use with the Ark and the city bots. Plus, Vertebreak and Rattrap.

Any of the three that were cut can still make it, if store ask for the line to be extended. All three have molds ready. The Gears mold even has the alternate Swerve head ready. Toss in a repack of the Quintesson faction and you've got a full fifth wave if store want it.
