Sucks that everything except that shitty Pink Ranger got leaked. If this stuff was a surprise I'd be a bit more excited but since we knew about it all, it's kind of just an "Okay, cool" reaction from me, now knowing they're officially announced.

Considering they're now at 2 Dino Thunder Rangers, I'm sure we'll see Dino Thunder Black in the next wave or the wave after. I personally don't care about getting Turbo Red as a Tommy figure. I always saw the Turbo suits as belong to the second set of Rangers since they were there the bulk of the season. And you never know, maybe Hasbro will do a Tommy 5 pack and that'll be how they introduce the Turbo Red figure and a single card release will be the TJ version.

Can someone explain what the issue is with just simply releasing all five rangers? Trini will obviously get released because Kimberly's bow has the clips for both the lances and the daggers for the presentation just looks fucking silly by having just four rangers and weapons together. Makes me glad I got the SoC Dino Migazord and Dragonzord for so cheap, and that I have the re-released Thunder Megazord with better knee supports and the Tigerzord. Not sure how they'd be able to improve the articulation on the Thunderzords while keeping the Transformation.

Samurai is bland as shit. Dino Charge looks absolutely nothing like MMPR. The torsos are ugly. Ninja Steel has white boots and the girls have white legs with short shoes for no reason. It's bad color blocking/design and ruins the suits. This is unfortunately a common thing with Plex. They often interject colors that spit in the face of cohesive design. Time Force for instance has all their details in black and silver EXCEPT their chests/necks which are white for no good reason.

MMPR is clearly more beloved than any singular Super Sentai. MMPR has made more money than your favorite Super Sentai. MMPR will be remembered longer and by more people. MMPR is the reason we have this general. MMPR is forever.

The way your old little show is performing, it's going to be dead and forgotten in the next ten years. In twenty years, it'll be a footnote on MMPR's legacy. A fun little piece of trivia on the back on a Green Ranger action figure.

Same. The more sentai you watch, the more you realize green is just the generic idea for most 6th rangers.

I loved lupat's x cause he shows up and for 5 episodes you are clueless to his motives. Hes kind of an outsider. I just rewatched gaoranger, and its basically the tommy story, except he goes off on his own for a while afterwards which is cool. Hes skeptical of the team.

By comparison mmpr green is generic brand additional hero trope.

About the paint, yea it's hit or miss. But as >>8470065 said, that's an issue with basically every figure in the line thus far. The only problem is that now you're working with a 5 pack where you can't look the figures over and pick the best version of each character. Therefore, you're very likely to get a dud.

I sort of got "lucky" and the two duds in my pack were the red and blue psychos. Thankfully, I had already gotten the mainline releases of those figures, so it was an easy swap out.

But other than that, they're solid figures, and probably the only versions of the Psychos we'll ever get.

Nice generalization there. I've watched almost every season of Power Rangers in full (I couldn't stomach Bruce Kalish's handling of the series so I've only seen maybe half of Mystic Force and much less Overdrive and Jungle Fury). I've watched Abaranger and Gokaiger in full along with miscellaneous episodes/movies across various other Sentais. I don't like Sentai. I don't think it's superior or inferior to Power Rangers, it's a different beast and it's not my cup of tea.

I only watched it for a project I was working on, but what difference does it make? I don't care for Sentai. It seems like they will cheap out and paint as many details as possible on these generic parts. DT Blue didn't have glove cuffs so it necessitated a different forearm sculpt for him, but for the most part I expect older Rangers in this style to be limited to a new head and belt.

I guess this and the Putty pack were just 2-packs, but now it's an actual sub-line? That's kind of how I interpreted it. I'm still wondering if the Villains sub-line means we won't get monster villains in the main line, or perhaps in the 2-pack. I assume a Red Samurai vs Deker has to be something that's going to happen in those 2-packs.

Speaking of these retros, I'm thinking of grabbing Jason since he was always my favourite. I'm not a big fan of retro toys, but I appreciate the updated articulation, and I actually still have all my old flip heads. They also hinted at the panel that there may be more to come in this retro line, so perhaps some retro monsters could be fun. I wonder if a wave 2 would just have Tommy and Trini and some reissues, or if maybe we also get Dragon Armour Red, which was always fun (at least to me), and a villain.

Zeo might be completed over time if the line lasts. They’ll crank out Dino Thunder over the next two waves and finish it. Ninja Storm is also rumored so they could knock that out quickly too. And SPD getting finished via 2-packs, apparently. Those are the three teams I watched the most, even though I grew up with Time Force, so that would get me really invested in the line.

In Space looks like it will be completed, but it won’t be because the universe is cruel and Zhane isn’t allowed to have figures.

They’re pretty solid. The hands and weapons make them decent, although the mold isn’t particularly amazing. Selling a 5-pack practically guarantees one of them will have a paint issue or a stuck joint though. YMMV.
