Marvel's Mr Hyde is Calvin Zarbo; a crooked doctor who routinely embezzled from every lab/hospital he worked for to finance his secret super science research.
When he first appeared, Zarbo tried to get work at the hospital Thor worked at. Thor refused to hire Zarbo, citing the fact that while no one could ever prove it, the fact that he was constantly moving from one place to another, ALWAYS following the discovery of missing money from said hospital/labs, made people suspect he was indeed a serial embezzler and that Blake wanted nothing to do with him.
Zarbo was super fucking pissed off, because until then, he usually was able to steamroll hospitals into hiring him because of the fact that he was never formally charged for stealing. So Zarbo took a prototype serum that turned him into a hulking brute ala Mr Hyde and tried to kill Thor and Jane Foster.
Eventually Zarbo got stuck in his Hyde form, which he liked at first until he realized the formula had the side effect of "stronger Hyde gets, the dumber he gets" and him getting involved with the Captain America villain Cobra, who exploited Hyde's fluxuating intelligence for his own greed. Hyde also started killing random people, going so far as kidnapping and murdering about a dozen people simply to remove their teeth to replace his own after they were knocked out in a fight. His killing people led to an arc in Daredevil where he got framed for killing a hooker & Daredevil was forced to clear him of murder, even though Hyde made it clear he would never reform and continue murdering people because he could.
Hyde ultimately had a brief stint on the Thunderbolts, which retconned him a Jack the Ripper fanboy and a convoluted storyline where the Thunderbolts were forced to help Hyde carry out the Jack the Ripper murders while time traveling, though with the cavet that the hookers he killed were alien invaders trying to take over the world.
