Hasbro wanted to use the Brave molds once back in RID, but TT weren't sure if they even had the legal rights to sell the molds to Hasbro to use, even if they were going to be different characters and everyone just decided it was best to leave it be.
TT still wants to do something Brave-ish in Transformers proper. Their other lines certainly hover around Brave, but never quite get there. Their best hope was that Hasbro will sign off on Victory, RID or Armada revivals and let Takara have some fun with the designs.
Oddly enough.... John was a big fan of that idea before he left for Angel Grove.
